Sia Netherlands employs approximately 60 consultants.\n To support our growth, we are recruiting Senior Consultants specializing in Data Engineering solutions. You will lead client engagements, co-design data engineering solutions through close collaboration with clients, manage stakeholders, and ensure impactful project delivery from strategy through execution.\nResponsibilities:\nData Architecture & Pipeline Design: Building robust, scalable data pipelines and architectures to enable efficient ingestion, processing, and delivery of large volumes of structured and unstructured data.\n\nCloud & Distributed Systems: Designing and implementing data solutions leveraging modern cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and distributed computing frameworks (e.g., Spark, Kafka).\n\nDatabase Design & Data Modeling: Developing logical and physical data models and optimizing database solutions for various data types and workloads, including relational, NoSQL, time-series, and graph databases.\n\nData Integration & Loading Patterns: Implementing best practices for batch, streaming, and real-time data integration, adapting to structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data sources.\n\nCI/CD & DataOps Practices: Enabling continuous integration and deployment of data services and infrastructure, using modern DevOps tooling to ensure reliability, versioning, and automation in data workflows.\n\nWithin Sia itself you will:\nDevelop and enhance our Data Engineering offerings through internal training sessions, working groups, and internal/external publications.\n\nRepresent Sia at professional events, contributing actively to thought leadership initiatives (articles, white papers, webinars).\n\nDrive business development by crafting compelling proposals, identifying new collaboration opportunities, and fostering long-term client relationships.\n\nManage client engagements, serving as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert to middle and senior-level management.\n\nSupervise and mentor junior to medior consultants, guiding their professional growth, reviewing deliverables, and facilitating the development of technical and interpersonal skills.\n\nYour profile\nAnalytical thinker with a structured and proactive approach.\n\nExperienced communicator capable of clearly articulating complex technical ideas to varied audiences.\n\nEffective stakeholder manager, comfortable guiding teams through project delivery.\n\nDemonstrated ability to mentor colleagues and facilitate professional development.\n\n Completed WO Master's degree in Data Science, Econometrics, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, (Energy) Engineering, or a related technical field involving substantial programming.\n\nThe specific stack that you will work with will depend on the client but, as an indication, we commonly work with Databricks, Snowflake and Azure.\n\n3-6 years of relevant professional experience (or equivalent academic research).\n\nStrong analytical mindset with systematic problem-solving abilities.\n\nA fast learner who demonstrates strong communication skills, adaptability, and entrepreneurial drive.\n\nFluency in English, with excellent communication and presentation abilities.
