The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of Unreal Engine 5 and first-person action gameplay, player flow, combat encounters, exploration, and modular level design that supports procedural generation and replayability.\nRequirements\nWhat you will do:\nExperienced Level Designer capable of taking ownership of a gameplay space.\nStrong understanding of first-person action gameplay, player flow, combat spaces, exploration, and encounter design.\nAbility to work within established gameplay rules, metrics, and production guidelines.\nExperience creating modular levels that can support procedural generation and replayability.\nComfortable collaborating closely with Level Art, Environment Art, Design, and Production teams.\nStrong Unreal Engine 5 proficiency, including level assembly, greyboxing, gameplay implementation, and iteration.\nAbility to communicate clearly, incorporate feedback quickly, and maintain production quality standards.\nExperience building large landmark or destination-style spaces that serve as key player objectives and points of interest.\nWhat we are looking for:\nPrevious experience designing and building levels for action, RPG, co-op, or first-person games.\nProven track record creating playable greyboxes/blockouts that successfully transition into final production content.\nExperience working with modular kits and level-building systems.\nUnderstanding of procedural content generation workflows and how level design supports randomized gameplay experiences.\nSolid knowledge of level metrics, navigation, sightlines, combat pacing, and player guidance.\nProficiency with Unreal Engine, ideally Unreal Engine 5.\nExperience working within multidisciplinary development teams and following established production pipelines.\nShipped title experience or substantial production experience on PC/console game projects is strongly preferred.\nNice to haves:\nCo-op multiplayer game development.\nDark fantasy, RPG, or dungeon/environment-focused level design.\nExperience designing content intended for repeatable runs and live-service style replayability.\nFamiliarity with performance considerations and gameplay-driven environment construction.\nBenefits\nCompetitive Salary.\nDynamic, multicultural and fun environment.\nYou will be working for the world's leading provider of game services.\nWe empower our people and offer regular progression opportunities to ensure our employees flourish.\nAbout Side\nSide (formerly PTW) is a global video game development and services provider, offering technical and creative solutions to many of the largest developers and studios around the world.
