As we continue to scale, we are seeking an experienced Corporate Controller to lead our accounting, payroll, and financial reporting functions while providing strategic financial insight to leadership.\nKey Responsibilities\nFinancial Reporting & Accounting\nOwn the full-cycle accounting process, including month-end and year-end close\n\nPrepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP\n\nMaintain integrity of the general ledger, trial balances, and all balance sheet and income statement accounts\n\nEnsure timely and accurate account reconciliations; investigate and resolve discrepancies promptly\n\nSupport year-end audit processes and act as the primary liaison with external accountants and advisors\n\nPayroll, Compliance & Government Filings\nOversee payroll accounting and reporting in a high-volume staffing environment\n\nEnsure accurate and timely statutory remittances and government filings, including HST, payroll taxes, T4s, ROEs\n\nAct as backup support for payroll processing when required\n\nEnsure compliance with all applicable federal and provincial legislation and employment standards\n\nBudgeting, Forecasting & Financial Analysis\nLead the annual budgeting process and ongoing forecasting in partnership with executive leadership\n\nPrepare cash flow forecasts and weekly cash reporting\n\nAnalyze labour costs, gross margins, and profitability by client, contract, division, or region\n\nProvide actionable financial insights to support pricing strategies, staffing models, and operational decision-making\n\nCash Flow, Banking & Working Capital\nMonitor cash flow, working capital, and collections to support ongoing operations and growth\n\nOversee accounts receivable and accounts payable processes\n\nMaintain banking relationships and support financing arrangements, covenant reporting, and lender requirements as needed\n\nSystems, Controls & Process Improvement\nDevelop, maintain, and continuously improve internal controls, accounting policies, and financial procedures\n\nLead or support accounting system optimization, ERP upgrades, and reporting enhancements\n\nIdentify and implement opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability as the business grows\n\nLeadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration\nLead, mentor, and develop the accounting and payroll team\n\nReview work, provide guidance, and ensure adherence to strong internal controls and best practices\n\nCollaborate closely with operations, HR, dispatch, and executive leadership to align financial strategy with business objectives\n\nQualifications & Experience\nCPA designation strongly preferred\n\nPost-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or a related field\n\n5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership responsibility\n\nExperience in staffing, construction, logistics, or other labour-intensive industries considered a strong asset\n\nStrong knowledge of Canadian and U.S. payroll, tax compliance, and financial reporting\n\nExperience with accounting systems (QuickBooks or similar;
