This role develops and improves solutions for workstation configuration, software distribution, patching, endpoint management, and related technologies; resolves complex technical issues; and partners with Information Technology teams to maintain a secure, reliable, and efficient end-user computing environment.\nDuties and Responsibilities:\nServe as a technical subject matter expert for Firm workstation technologies, including Windows operating systems, web browsers, endpoint configuration, and related technologies.\nDesign, implement, maintain, and support desktop management solutions using technologies such as Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Entra, NinjaOne, PowerShell, Aternity, Recast Application Workspace, Patch My PC, Group Policy, and BeyondTrust Endpoint Privilege Manager.\nMonitor and analyze the workstation environment using endpoint management and monitoring tools; develop queries, reports, inventory data, and events to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.\nDesign, document, maintain, and troubleshoot workstation patching, software distribution, and application deployment processes to support a reliable and secure end user computing environment.\nDiagnose and resolve complex workstation and application issues, partnering with application support and other Information Technology teams to develop comprehensive solutions.\nPartner with the EUC & Remote Access Manager to evaluate, recommend, design, and implement new or enhanced software distribution and workstation management solutions.\nDesign, document, and maintain the Firm-standard workstation environment, including BIOS, boot processes, drivers, services, scheduled tasks, policies, and configuration standards.\nDevelop, implement, and maintain automated scripts, tools, processes, and procedures that improve workstation configuration, deployment, management, and support.\nCoordinate the evaluation and configuration of standard and non-standard personal computer hardware and partner with Quality Assurance to test workstation configurations and automated software deployments.\nMaintain knowledge of relevant technologies and industry trends and participate in rotating 24x7 on-call support as required.\nEducation and Experience:\nRequired:\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.\nA minimum of 7 years of experience supporting and engineering desktop technologies in an enterprise environment.\nAdvanced experience with Windows workstation operating systems, including Windows 10 and Windows 11.\nAdvanced experience with application packaging, software distribution, endpoint patching, and troubleshooting software installation and deployment issues.\nExperience with macOS and Jamf.\nExperience managing Windows endpoints using Microsoft Intune or a comparable mobile device management or endpoint management solution.\nWorking knowledge of TCP/IP networking fundamentals, including DNS, DHCP, and IPv4.\nExperience developing technical documentation for technical and non-technical audiences.\nPreferred:\nExperience developing and troubleshooting system automation scripts, including PowerShell.\nExperience developing SQL queries and creating interactive reports.\nExperience working with WMI, Windows Registry, log files, events, and operating system in-place upgrades.\nExperience with workstation security and vulnerability remediation.\nRelevant technical training or certifications.\nOther Skills and Abilities:\nThe following will also be required of the successful candidate:\nStrong organizational skills.\nStrong attention to detail.\nGood judgment.\nStrong interpersonal communication skills.\nAbility to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines and priorities.\nAbility to work effectively under pressure.\nStrong analytical skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.\nAble to work harmoniously and effectively with others.\nAble to preserve confidentiality and exercise discretion in all interactions.\n#LI-Hybrid\nThe target salary range for this role is:\n$148,200 - $175,000 if located in Illinois.Salaries vary by location and are based on numerous factors, including, but not limited to, the relevant market, skills, experience, and education of the selected candidate.
