Join us at Sidus Space to be part of something extraordinary and help shape the future of space access!\nJob Summary\nThe Associate Production Project Manager supports the planning, coordination, and execution of Sidus’ avionics and machine production workstreams, including electrical subsystems, cable harnessing, and external purchase orders. Working under the direction of the Production Control Manager, this role helps keep production programs on schedule, tracks progress and issues, and coordinates day-to-day activities across engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams.\nThe position is 100% onsite, located in Cape Canaveral, Florida.\nEssential Duties/Responsibilities\nSupport end-to-end project management for assigned avionics production programs, from planning and scheduling through delivery.\nCoordinate with design, manufacturing, and test engineering, as well as supply chain and other operations teams, to keep production activities aligned and moving forward.\nAssist in developing and maintaining project schedules, resource plans, production milestones, and risk registers.\nTrack build sequence and schedule status and provide input to the Production Project Manager on opportunities to improve efficiency and meet project timelines.\nIdentify, document, and escalate production issues, and support the development of recommended solutions.\nPrepare progress reports, status updates, and meeting materials for program leadership.\nSupport new product introduction (NPI) readiness activities, including tracking tooling, fixtures, and production validation tasks.\nWork with supply chain teams to track material shortages, long-lead items, and vendor quality concerns through resolution.\nAssist with tracking project financials, labor hours, and material consumption against manufacturing budgets.\nParticipate in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing unit lead time and cost.\nHelp monitor project risks and support mitigation efforts to ensure project objectives are achieved.\nTreat all coworkers with respect and dignity ensuring a collaborative culture is continually developed and maintained.\nOther duties as assigned**\nRequired Education and Experience\nBachelor’s degree in operations management, Industrial Engineering, or related field. Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.\nZero (0) to two (2) years of experience in production, manufacturing, project coordination, or process improvement. Internship or co-op experience in aerospace, manufacturing, or a related complex industry preferred.\nCAPM or other project management certification a plus; willingness to pursue certification preferred.\nProficiency in Microsoft 365 including Excel, Word, Outlook and Teams.\nRequired Skills\nWorking knowledge of production and manufacturing operations, with a desire to grow technical expertise in avionics hardware.\nStrong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively with engineering, production, program management, and supply chain teams.\nSolid analytical and research skills, with strong attention to detail.\nExposure to or interest in agile and lean methodologies for managing and improving production processes.\nAbility to gather, organize, and interpret data to support decision-making.\nStrong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.\nClear and professional verbal and written communication skills.\nProficiency with project scheduling and tracking tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet, or similar) and Microsoft Office/Excel.\nPhysical Requirements\nSedentary Work - occasionally exerting up to 10 pounds of force to carry, lift, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
