Join us at Sidus Space to be part of something extraordinary and help shape the future of space access!\nJob Summary\nThe Cybersecurity Analyst is responsible for monitoring security systems, reviewing alerts, and supporting compliance and documentation efforts to help protect the organization’s networks and information. This role provides analysis, guidance, and recommendations to strengthen the organization’s security posture.\nThis is an onsite position in Cape Canaveral, FL.\nEssential Duties/Responsibilities\nMonitor security systems and tools (firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, endpoint protection, etc.) to identify potential threats, breaches, or anomalous activity.\nReview and triage security alerts to determine scope, urgency, and potential impact.\nIdentify vulnerabilities and provide recommendations for remediation to appropriate teams/stakeholders.\nAssist in implementing security enhancements and control improvements, in coordination with IT/leadership, based on identified risks or audit findings.\nProactively search for threats using Computer Network Defense (CND) tools, including intrusion detection system alerts, firewall and network traffic logs, and host system logs.\nSupport compliance efforts by maintaining and updating security documentation, policies, and procedures in line with applicable frameworks and requirements.\nDocument all activities that occur during an incident using established methodologies and procedures.\nConduct root cause analysis for incidents to define follow-up action items and provide recommendations to stakeholders.\nProvide professional guidance and advice to leadership and other teams on security best practices and risk mitigation.\nDevelop and maintain thorough, up-to-date knowledge of cybersecurity threats, compliance requirements, and incident response best practices.\nTreat all coworkers with respect and dignity ensuring a collaborative culture is continually developed and maintained.\nOther duties as assigned**\nRequired Skills\nAbility to collaborate with many different teams/individuals to reach a common goal by building mutual trust, respect, and cooperation. \nCommitment to providing the highest quality products and services that meet or exceed the requirements and expectations of our customers, actively pursuing opportunities for continual improvements of service quality.\nOutstanding analytic abilities and strong research skills. \nExcellent data-driven decision-making skills. \nAbility to manage time and projects effectively.\nDemonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills to engage with all levels of the organization.\nRequired Education and Experience\nBachelor’s degree in Cyber Security, IT Security, or another relevant field preferred. Experience in lieu of education may be considered.\nTwo (2+) years’ experience in Cyber Security or another relevant industry experience.\nCertifications like CompTIA Network+, Security+, Partner Certifications, etc. preferred.\nFamiliarity with NIST 800-53 and/or NIST 800-171 frameworks and control families preferred.\nProficiency in Microsoft 365 including Excel, Word, Outlook and Teams.\nPhysical Requirements\nSedentary Work - occasionally exerting up to 10 pounds of force to carry, lift, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
