Join us at Sidus Space to be part of something extraordinary and help shape the future of space access!\nJob Summary\nThe Hardware Integration and Test Engineer is responsible for the hands-on integration, bring-up, and testing of satellite hardware systems and components. This role focuses on electrical and hardware validation, troubleshooting, and verification activities throughout the development and manufacturing lifecycle. The engineer will work closely with electrical, mechanical, and manufacturing teams to ensure hardware performs as designed.\nThe position is 100% onsite, located in Cape Canaveral, Florida.\nEssential Duties/Responsibilities\nPerform hardware bring-up, functional testing, and verification of satellite electrical systems, circuit boards, and assemblies.\nIntegrate newly built hardware into larger subsystem and system-level configurations.\nUse electrical engineering lab equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, power supplies, DMMs, etc.) to validate and troubleshoot hardware.\nAnalyze electrical schematics, PCB layouts, mechanical drawings, and wiring diagrams to support integration and debug activities.\nIdentify, isolate, and resolve hardware defects at the unit and system level.\nDevelop detailed hardware test plans, test cases, and test procedures.\nDocument test results, debug findings, and provide progress reports to engineering leadership.\nSupport updates to training materials and technical documentation related to hardware integration and logistics support.\nEnsure all test processes comply with required industry and aerospace standards.\nCollaborate with vendors to review electrical and mechanical interface specifications.\nTreat all coworkers with respect and dignity ensuring a collaborative culture is continually developed and maintained.\nOther duties as assigned**\nRequired Education and Experience\nBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or similar with coursework in digital/analog circuit design.\nMinimum two years of hands-on experience with hardware integration, hardware bring-up, circuit board testing, or electrical system verification.\nAbility to read and interpret electrical schematics, PCB layouts, and mechanical drawings.\nExperience using electrical lab equipment during debugging and test activities.\nProficient in Microsoft 365 for communication and collaboration.\nDesired Skills and Experience\nExperience with hardware system engineering lifecycle tools.\nExperience with root cause analysis and corrective action processes.\nExperience with PCB design tools such as Altium or similar.\nFamiliarity with Python, Linux, Bash, or similar for test automation and data collection.\nHands-on circuit board troubleshooting, power-on testing, signal probing, or mixed-signal debug experience.\nPhysical Requirements\nProlonged periods standing or walking on hard surfaces\nAbility to lift up to 30 lbs.\nSedentary Work - occasionally exerting up to 10 pounds of force to carry, lift, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
