Join us at Sidus Space to be part of something extraordinary and help shape the future of space access!\nJob Summary\nThe Product Development Manager guides and manages the lifecycle of new technology offerings as well as feature enhancements to the company’s product portfolio.\nThis is an onsite position in Cape Canaveral, FL.\nEssential Duties/Responsibilities\nOwn the full product lifecycle for embedded compute modules, from concept and requirements definition through development, qualification, launch, and long-term sustainment.\nBuild and maintain the product roadmap, balancing customer needs, market trends, and technology developments in space-qualified electronics and OpenVPX architectures.\nConduct research to understand and anticipate customer needs, new technologies, trends in the market and competition. \nTranslate customer requirements, mission needs, and system-level constraints into clear product specifications and feature sets.\nParticipate in all phases of product development including analysis, design, prototyping, and testing.\nLead business case development, pricing strategy, and product positioning to ensure competitiveness in commercial, civil, and national security markets.\nServe as the “Voice of the Customer” for Sidus products still in development.\nLead the delivery of product documentation, including defining the content for standard deliverables in coordination with the CTO, Engineering, and Sales.\nOversee transition to production, including manufacturability improvements, configuration management, and release of stable product baselines.\nMonitor product performance in service, address obsolescence, and lead updates or refresh cycles.\nContinuously assess market needs and Sidus’ current offerings to help identify gaps and if needed specify new configuration packages for Sidus products.\nLead and/or participate in select customer meetings and solution presentations as the technical advocate for the use of Sidus products.\nSupport BD on technical Q&A from customers for assigned products.\nDevelop positive strategic relationships across the organization. \nTreat all coworkers with respect and dignity ensuring a collaborative culture is continually developed and maintained.\nOther duties as assigned**\nRequired Education and Experience\nBachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering or related field required, Master’s degree preferred. Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.\nFive (5) or more years of experience in product development in aerospace, manufacturing or a related complex industry. \nCertified Product Manager (CPM) certification preferred. \nRequired Qualifications\nTechnical expertise related to embedded compute products and spacecraft avionics. \nStrong collaboration skills to work with teams across the organization including engineering, production, sales and marketing.\nOutstanding analytic abilities and strong research skills. \nFamiliarity with agile and lean methodologies to manage product development processes efficiently and respond to changes quickly.\nExcellent data-driven decision-making skills. \nAbility to manage time and projects effectively.\nDemonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills to engage with all levels of the organization.\nPhysical Requirements\nProlonged periods of sitting or standing in an office environment.\nTotal Rewards and Perks\nAt Sidus Space, we ask a lot of our team members, which is why we give so much in return.
