This position performs routine microbiological testing, environmental monitoring activities, laboratory maintenance, data collection, and documentation while ensuring compliance with company procedures, regulatory requirements, and quality standards.\nYour Profile:\nResponsibilities\nPerform routine microbiological testing in accordance with approved SOPs and cGMP requirements.\nConduct Environmental Monitoring (EM) activities, including:Viable air sampling\nSurface monitoring\nPersonnel monitoring\nNon-viable particulate monitoring\n\nCollect and process water samples for microbiological analysis.\nSupport sample preparation, incubation, and documentation activities.\nPerform media preparation, sterilization, and autoclaving of laboratory materials and supplies.\nConduct precut and support activities required for environmental monitoring programs.\nMaintain laboratory cleanliness, organization, and housekeeping in accordance with GMP standards.\nRetrieve samples, supplies, and testing materials from the warehouse to support laboratory operations.\nOperate and monitor autoclave equipment for sterilization of media, glassware, and laboratory materials.\nAccurately document laboratory activities, observations, and test results in notebooks, worksheets, and electronic systems.\nReview laboratory records for completeness and compliance with Good Documentation Practices (GDP).\nTrend environmental monitoring data and communicate potential adverse trends to supervision.\nVerify equipment calibration status prior to use and ensure equipment is operating properly.\nCommunicate equipment issues or maintenance needs to management promptly.\nCollaborate with Quality, Manufacturing, and other departments to support production schedules and project timelines.\nParticipate in laboratory investigations, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives as assigned.\nPerform additional duties as assigned by management.\nRequired Knowledge, Skills and Abilities\nEducation:\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent required.\nAssociate degree or coursework in Microbiology, Biology, Chemistry, or a related scientific field strongly preferred.\nExperience:\n1-3 years of experience in a microbiology laboratory environment.\nExperience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, food, or contract testing laboratories preferred.\nExperience performing environmental monitoring in controlled environments is a plus.\nKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:\nBasic knowledge of microbiological laboratory techniques and aseptic practices.\nUnderstanding of cGMP, Good Documentation Practices (GDP), and laboratory SOPs.\nAbility to follow written procedures accurately and consistently.\nStrong organizational skills and attention to detail.\nProficient with Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.\nEffective written and verbal communication skills.\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team.\nAbility to gown aseptically and work in cleanroom environments.\nFlexibility to work overtime or adjusted schedules to support production and laboratory operations.\nKnowledge of laboratory safety practices and procedures.\nTarget Pay Rate: $26 - 30/hour + 15% Differential working on 3rd Shift (10:00 PM - 6:30 AM Sunday night through Friday morning)\nIndividual compensation packages are based on various factors unique to each candidate, including skill set, experience, qualifications and other job-related reasons.\nYour Benefits:\nMedical, Dental, Vision\nFlexible Spending & HSA Options\nLife Insurance, Short & Long Term Disability\nPet Insurance\n401K\nFounded in 1873 in Zofingen, Switzerland, Siegfried has grown into a global network of 16 sites across three continents.
