We’re making the lives of people who travel easier and more enjoyable while constantly developing new, intelligent mobility solutions!\nWe are looking for Auxiliary System Engineer\nYou’ll make a difference by\nUnderstanding the Customer requirements and developing the Electrical system concept of the\ncomplete vehicle level and develop the sub system concepts.\nCollects external (customer, standards) and internal (rolling stock) requirements, allocating them\nto the technical teams.\nDefining the architecture and functionalities of the auxiliary converter /Battery Charger/ Energy\nstorage (Battery)/Low & Medium voltage components, taking as input the external requirements\nas well as internal ones\nDerive the vehicle level performance requirements and discuss with the project teams and assist\nthem to optimize the customer requirements.\nEnsure consistency and compatibility between all traction/ auxiliary system functions\nspecifications by verifying every component specification and by participating in all design\nreviews\nDevelop the Auxiliary converter /Battery Charger/Battery/ Low & Medium voltage\nArchitectures/Earthing schemes working concepts and generate the Component specifications for\nthe Vendors.\nDefine the High Voltage components specifications and work closely with vendors for developing\nthe suitable component for a Locomotive/Metro/Commuter rail\nDevelop the design documentation and get design approval from customer.\nDeveloping system design (like Clause-by-Clause Comments, Performance simulations\n(MATLAB, PSIM, Python, Mathcad, Ansys, SABER or Similar tools etc.), Power scheme\npreparations, Component specification, Product Description / Specification, System block\ndiagrams & Part list depending on customer requirement\nPreparation of System / Part - Verification & Validation - Specifications and validation in test lab & Train.\nDefining and performing Train verification strategy in close collaboration with all Engineering and\nValidation teams\nConducting the Prototype tests on the sub systems and get the dispatch / design clearance from\ncustomer.\nSupports the traction / auxiliary system for implementation or update of the technical part of the\nrisk mitigation plan along with Project technical manager\nAnalyses technical issues and proposes solutions during the commissioning and the reliability\ngrowth phase\nSupports the traction / auxiliary by proposing QCD improvements.\nCoordination with Other engineering teams such as software, Circuit Engineering and Mechanical teams to develop the electrical sub systems and integrate in the vehicle.\nAbility to define performance, Energy Consumption, harmonic detection, on board energy storage\nfunctions, medium and low voltage supply, load management (AC/DC calculations)\nKnowledge of the sub-assemblies of a traction & Auxiliary system (power module, control\nelectronics, cooling system, etc.) and of their key features\nResponsible for: Technical open issues resolution, from investigation to modification implementation and problem closure\n\nDesired Skills:\nYou have successfully completed a master's degree in electrical engineering.\nYou bring along relevant experience of 8 - 10 years in the field of traction & Auxiliary Converter\n(IGBT/SiC) technology for product design and system integration.\nFurthermore, you have knowledge of simulation tools / techniques for circuits of power\nelectronics/IEC Standards/Traction & Auxiliary Converter Design Principles/ Components sizing/\nRolling Stock components\nYou are familiar with analysis and review methodologies\nYou are familiar with requirements, configuration and change management (DOORS or similar\ntools)\nYou are capable of analysis and learning and always work Result, Team, and Quality Oriented.\nYou are willing to travel as required for project and collaborate with international colleagues.\nGood communication and presentation skills\nKnowledge of Power systems, earthing concepts, EMI-EMC protections, Validations as per IEC61287, IEC61377 etc\nYou will participate in the continuous development of competence and exchange ideas with\nteams on technological & Process topics\n\nJoin us and be yourself!\nWe value your unique identity and perspective and are fully committed to providing equitable opportunities and building a workplace that reflects the diversity of society.
