Your work directly impacts critical customer projects worldwide, ensuring hundreds of thousands of passengers travel safely every day.\nYou’ll make a difference by\nDesign, deploy, and continuously evolve secure, scalable, and resilient private cloud platforms for critical railway solutions, primarily based on Red Hat OpenShift and Kubernetes.\nConfigure, integrate, and deploy Siemens products, adapting platform and application components such as PostgreSQL, JBoss, and ActiveMQ Artemis to project and customer needs.\nInstall, administer, scale, upgrade, and troubleshoot Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform and Kubernetes environments, including their core resources, services, ingress, and operators.\nDrive the modernisation of traditional Java and Linux-based applications, supporting their evolution towards containerised and microservices-based architectures.\nAdminister and automate Red Hat Enterprise Linux, virtualisation platforms such as VMware vSphere and OpenShift Virtualisation, HPE compute infrastructure, networking, and persistent storage.\nDevelop and maintain automation, Infrastructure as Code, and CI/CD capabilities using technologies such as Ansible, Terraform, Jenkins, GitLab CI, ArgoCD, and Tekton.\nImplement and continuously improve platform observability using monitoring, logging, and alerting technologies such as Prometheus, Grafana, and the ELK Stack.\nApply cloud-native security practices across the platform, including RBAC, secrets management, system hardening, and security policies.\nOptimise infrastructure capacity, performance, availability, and resource utilisation across physical, virtual, and containerised environments.\nDiagnose and resolve complex technical issues across infrastructure, platform, middleware, database, and application layers.\nWork closely with development, engineering, cybersecurity, and operations teams to define technical solutions and support successful project delivery.\nCreate and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, version-controlled configurations, and reusable knowledge to facilitate platform support and continuous improvement.\nEvaluate emerging technologies and contribute to the technical evolution, automation, and standardisation of the platform.\nYour success is grounded in\nA degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, or equivalent practical experience in cloud platform and infrastructure engineering.\nStrong hands-on expertise with Kubernetes and Red Hat OpenShift (deployment, administration, scaling, and troubleshooting).\nAdvanced Linux administration skills (Red Hat preferred) and solid Bash/Shell scripting capabilities.\nPractical knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code (Ansible, Terraform, etc.).\nExperience with virtualization technologies like VMware vSphere or OpenShift Virtualization.\nProfessional proficiency in English (C1) and Spanish, with a collaborative mindset to thrive in cross-functional global teams.\nYou’ll thrive even more if you also bring\nKnowledge of enterprise networking, persistent storage, and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack).\nExperience with PostgreSQL, Java middleware (JBoss), or HPE server infrastructure.\nRelevant certifications in OpenShift, Kubernetes, Linux, or VMware.\nEven if you don't meet every single requirement, we encourage you to apply!
