The incumbent will work on domestic and international project sites, ensuring successful commissioning and handover of protection systems.\nKey Responsibilities\nPerform testing and commissioning of Control & Relay Panels (CRP) for substations up to 765kV.\n\nTest and commission protection relays and schemes for MV/HV applications, including feeder, transformer, distance, generator, line differential and busbar protection.\n\nConfigure and parameterize Protection Intelligent Electronic Devices (IEDs), including GOOSE communication, interoperability and integration with SCADA systems.\n\nConfigure communication protocols such as Modbus, DNP3.0, IEC 61850 and IEC 60870-5-103.\n\nPerform IEC 61850 engineering activities, including dataset creation, Report Control Blocks (RCBs) configuration and signal tagging.\n\nUndertake retrofitting, troubleshooting and replacement of protection IEDs and Control & Relay Panels.\n\nPerform secondary injection testing using equipment such as Omicron, Doble, Ponovo and ISA.\n\nConduct automated protection testing, including OCC, State Sequencing, distance protection and differential protection characteristic tests.\n\nPrepare commissioning documentation, including SAT reports, test reports, commissioning schedules, plans and Minutes of Meeting (MOM).\n\nPlan and conduct technical training sessions and customer presentations.\n\nTroubleshoot Windows-based applications, PC communication interfaces and serial/IP communication issues.\n\nCoordinate with customers and project stakeholders to ensure successful site execution and commissioning.\n\nRequired Qualifications and Skills\nB.E./B.Tech or postgraduate qualification in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.\n\n2-6 years of hands-on experience in Protection & Control engineering, site testing and commissioning.\n\nStrong knowledge of Control & Relay Panels and protection systems for MV/HV substations.\n\nHands-on experience in testing and commissioning numerical protection relays and associated protection schemes.\n\nKnowledge of protection IED configuration, parametrization, GOOSE communication and SCADA integration.\n\nWorking knowledge of IEC 61850, IEC 60870-5-103, Modbus and DNP3.0 protocols.\n\nHands-on experience with secondary injection testing equipment.\n\nGood understanding of Windows, serial communication and IP networking.\n\nStrong verbal and written communication skills for customer interaction.\n\nAnalytical thinking, problem-solving ability, adaptability and willingness to learn.\n\nWillingness to travel extensively, approximately 80-90%, as per project requirements.\n\nPreferred Skills\nExperience with protection and control equipment from Alstom, SEL, GE, ABB, NR and SIFANG.\n\nKnowledge of Process Bus Technology.\n\nBasic understanding of computer networking and communication protocols.\n\nExperience in retrofitting and replacement of protection IEDs and Control & Relay
