With us, you can do something significant that benefits society and human progress.\nA Snapshot of Your Day (Execution Unit EHS Head - TI STG, India)\nLead and drive the Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) strategy, governance, and execution across the Steam Turbines & Generators (STG) Execution Unit in India. The role is responsible for ensuring Zero Harm, regulatory compliance, and integration of EHS as a core enabler of business performance across factories, project sites, and service operations, while advancing sustainability objectives and delivering on Siemens Energy's ESG commitments.\nHow You'll Make an Impact\nKey Responsibilities\n1. Strategic Leadership\nDefine and implement the EHS roadmap aligned with global and Country business objectives\nDriving the Zero Harm culture across all STG operations\nIntegrate EHS into business decision-making, project lifecycle, and operational excellence initiatives\nAct as a trusted advisor to EU leadership on EHS risks, opportunities, and compliance\n2. Governance & Compliance\nEnsure compliance with Siemens Energy internal guidelines, national and international regulations applicable to business, local statutory requirements, and ISO standards (ISO 45001, ISO 14001)\nEstablish robust governance frameworks, procedures, and control mechanisms\nLead internal and external audits, regulatory inspections, and certifications\nEnsure timely reporting and investigation of incidents, including corrective and preventive actions.\nDrive EHS-related sustainability goals by establishing governance mechanisms, monitoring performance against sustainability targets, and ensuring alignment with Siemens Energy's ESG commitments and goals.\n3. Operational Excellence\nOversee EHS performance across: \nManufacturing facilities\nProject execution sites\nService and maintenance operations\nEnsure effective risk management through HIRA, SWMS, and permit-to-work systems\nDrive continuous improvement in leading and lagging EHS indicators\nImplement standardized EHS systems, tools, and digital solutions\n4. Risk Management & Incident Prevention\nIdentify critical risks related to STG operations (heavy lifts, confined spaces, high-energy systems, working at height, electrical safety, outages, etc.)\nEnsure robust controls and mitigation plans are in place\nLead serious incident investigations and ensure learnings are cascaded across the organization\nStrengthen contractor EHS management systems\n5. Culture, Capability & Engagement\nBuild a strong safety culture through visible felt leadership and engagement programs\nDrive competency development for EHS teams, project managers, and frontline workforce\nLead awareness programs, campaigns, and behavioral safety initiatives\nPromote employee wellbeing, occupational health, and mental health programs\n6. Stakeholder Management\nCollaborate with: \nEU Head and Business Leadership\nCountry corporate and global EHS teams\nProject management, manufacturing operations, supply chain, contractors’ teams & other support functions\nCustomers, regulators, and external partners\nRepresent the organization in customer discussions, audits, and industry forums\nBuild strong relationships with business leaders, employees, contractors, customers, regulators, and external stakeholders to foster collaboration, accountability, and a proactive EHS culture.\n7. Sustainability & Environmental Leadership\nDrive environmental initiatives such as: \nCarbon footprint reduction\nWaste management and Zero Waste to Landfill\nResource efficiency and energy optimization\nIntegrate sustainability goals into business operations and supplier ecosystem\n8. Team Leadership\nLead and develop an EHS team across factories and project sites\nDefine clear roles, responsibilities, and performance expectations\nMentor and build future EHS leaders within the organization\nKey Performance Indicators (KPIs)\nZero fatalities and reduction in LTIs/TRIR\nEHS audit scores and compliance status\nClosure of corrective and preventive actions\nContractor EHS performance\nImplementation of EHS strategic initiatives and sustainability targets\nWhat You Bring\nEngineering degree or Diploma or Science graduate\nAdvance diploma in Industrial Safety / BTech EHS\n15+ years of progressive EHS experience in energy, heavy engineering, or EPC industry.
