We provide reliable power distribution grids of today while investing in our Future Grids portfolio to create the power distribution grid of the future.\nWe are looking for Electrical Assemblers Level I to join our GIS Production Team on the 3rd shift. This position will be based in Wendell, NC.\nAn Electrical Assembler is responsible for performing sub-assembly wiring and final assembly wiring duties on products for Low and Medium Voltage Electrical Distribution Equipment such as Switchgears, Switchboards and Breakers.\nShift Hours: 11:30PM- 7:00AM\nHourly Rate: $20.36 + $1.50 Shift Differential\n Please Note: You will train on the 1st shift for a period of time, at the manager’s discretion, before moving over to the 3rd shift.\nYou’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:\n\nBasic Qualifications\n1+ year of experience in mechanical assembly or a related mechanical field.\n1+ years’ experience with commercial or industry wiring\nBasic proficiency in English, including reading, writing, and speaking.\nProficiency in reading and working with schematic drawings, layouts, and wire lists with minimal supervision.\nExperience using standard hand and power tools, including pneumatic and battery-operated tools, wiring tools, and accurately reading a tape measure.\nApplicants must be legally authorized for employment within the United States without the need for current or future employer - sponsored work authorization.\nPreferred QualificationsPossess some knowledge on electrical clearances\nAssociates Degree or technical training in area of responsibility\nProven record in Quality and Productivity\nYou'll make an impact by:Perform sub-assembly and final assembly wiring with high accuracy and workmanship, including proper stripping and crimping techniques.\nWork with large power cables, ensuring correct crimping methods, and assemble components on panels per layouts or drawings.\nRecord job transactions, read BOMs, follow layouts and assembly drawings.\nSet and use torque wrenches correctly, adhering to developed processes and seeking ways to improve.\nAdherence to Environmental and Occupational Health and Safety policies, with a commitment to continuous improvement and be a strong team player.\nPerform miscellaneous duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Management.\nAbout Siemens:We are a global technology company focused on industry, infrastructure, transport, and healthcare.
