Embedded Software & Firmware Development\nA passionate Embedded Software and Firmware Engineer who can contribute to the design, development, and testing of innovative Access Control solutions while collaborating with global teams to deliver reliable, high-performance products.\nYou'll make a difference by:\nParticipating in the review of software and firmware requirements with relevant stakeholders to ensure clear and complete specifications.\nAnalyzing software and firmware requirements and developing detailed design and test specification documentation.\nDesigning, developing, debugging, and maintaining embedded software and firmware for Access Control Systems.\nCollaborating with cross-functional and global project teams to deliver high-quality embedded solutions.\nLeveraging and reusing existing frameworks, modules, and libraries to accelerate development and improve product quality.\nDeveloping and optimizing software for Linux- and RTOS-based environments.\nImplementing and validating communication protocols such as RS485, CAN, BACnet, I2C, SPI, and Industrial Ethernet.\nWorking closely with hardware teams to integrate firmware with microcontrollers and embedded platforms.\nPerforming system-level debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.\nReviewing schematics, component datasheets, and hardware documentation to support development activities.\nSupporting verification, validation, defect resolution, and continuous product improvement initiatives.\nYou'll win us over by:\nMandatory Skills\nStrong programming experience in C and C++.\n3-5 years of experience in Embedded Software and Firmware Development.\nExperience with Linux (any flavor) and Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS) such as VxWorks, LynxOS, eCos, RTLinux, Nucleus, or UCOS.\nHands-on experience with communication protocols including RS485, CAN, BACnet, I2C, SPI, and Industrial Ethernet.\nStrong understanding of microcontrollers and CPU architectures such as x86, ARM, and DSP.\nExpertise in Linux system programming and scripting.\nExperience in software design, requirement analysis, and test specification development.\nAbility to read and interpret hardware schematics and component datasheets.\nStrong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.\nGood-to-Have Skills\nExperience in firmware development for Access Control products.\nFamiliarity with Python scripting and application development.\nExposure to Angular for user interface development.\nKnowledge of embedded security concepts and device communication architectures.\nExperience working within Agile/Scrum development environments.\nUnderstanding of software quality processes and engineering best practices.\nWhat you need to make real what matters:\nEngineering degree in B.E./B.Tech/M.E./M.Tech/MCA or equivalent qualification.\n3-5 years of meaningful experience in Software and Firmware Development.\nStrong understanding of embedded system architecture and real-time software development.\nExcellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with global teams.\nAbility to take ownership of technical deliverables and drive tasks to completion.\nPassion for innovation, quality, and continuous learning.\nStrong customer and quality orientation with attention to detail.\nJoin us and be yourself!\nThis role is primarily based in Chennai, where you'll have the opportunity to work on innovative access control technologies and collaborate with global engineering teams.
