You will coordinate the design, installation, and commissioning of various building services, ensuring that all work meets safety, quality, and budgetary requirements. Your day will involve collaborating with subcontractors and internal stakeholders, managing project timelines, and implementing innovative solutions to enhance project delivery. Your proactive approach and strong communication skills will be essential in navigating complex technical and commercial issues while fostering a culture of safety and excellence.\nHow You’ll Make an Impact\nExecute project work packages within defined requirements, including safety, quality, time, functionality, and cost.\nCoordinate designs, specifications, and subcontractor installations for systems such as hot and cold-water, lighting, electrical distribution, HVAC, telecommunications, security, and fire detection.\nManage the procurement and oversight of subcontractors from design through delivery and handover.\nIdentify, monitor, and mitigate risks and opportunities throughout the project lifecycle.\nFulfil the role of Contract Administrator, ensuring compliance with NEC3/4, FIDIC, or bespoke contracts.\nChair technical and progress meetings with subcontractors and internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and progress.\nWhat You Bring\nExperience within the UK Construction, Process, and/or Industrial sectors, with a strong understanding of building services installation.\nAn HNC/HND or above in electrical or mechanical engineering, or equivalent qualifications (e.g., NVQ4 in building services).\nRelevant qualifications such as City & Guilds 2382, 2391, and 2396, along with knowledge of The Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015.\nFamiliarity with BSRIA BG 6 and a valid construction site safety passport (CCNSG, CSCS, etc.) is advantageous.\nExcellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical and commercial issues effectively.\nA proactive attitude and a willingness to work flexibly, both in the office and on-site.\nAbout the Team\nOur Grid Technology division enables a reliable, sustainable, and digital grid.
