How You’ll Make an Impact Design, build, and operate platform services that support product development, testing, validation, and deployment activities.\nDevelop automation solutions that enhance reliability, scalability, security, and operational efficiency.\nBuild and maintain Infrastructure as Code, automated deployments, CI/CD pipelines, and platform tooling.\nDevelop integrations and automation using APIs, scripting, and modern DevOps practices.\nImprove observability through monitoring, logging, alerting, dashboards, and operational analytics.\nSupport and evolve virtualization and platform technologies while contributing to modernization initiatives and future cloud capabilities.\nCollaborate closely with software engineers, architects, product teams, and infrastructure specialists to enhance developer productivity and platform capabilities.\nContribute to platform standardization, self-service capabilities, and continuous improvement initiatives.\n What You Bring Must Have Experience in Platform Engineering, DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), Software Engineering, or Infrastructure Automation.\nStrong experience with automation technologies such as Ansible, PowerShell, PowerCLI, Python, Git, Infrastructure as Code, and CI/CD tooling.\nProven ability to create and maintain automation frameworks, deployment pipelines, APIs, integrations, or platform services.\nFamiliarity with virtualization and platform technologies like VMware vSphere, vCenter, vSAN, ESXi, Proxmox VE, or similar enterprise platforms.\nKnowledge of Linux and/or Windows administration, scripting, troubleshooting, and system integration.\nExperience with monitoring, observability, logging, incident management, performance analysis, and service reliability practices.\nA proactive mindset with a passion for automation, continuous learning, and building reliable platform services.\n Nice to Have Exposure to cloud-native technologies, containers, Kubernetes, Microsoft Azure, AWS, or hybrid cloud platforms.\nExperience in Agile environments using Scrum or SAFe methodologies, along with tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Git-based workflows.\nFamiliarity with platform modernization, self-service platforms, developer experience initiatives, or Infrastructure as Code practices.\nExperience supporting engineering applications, industrial systems, SCADA environments, or operational technology solutions.\n About the Team You will join the Infrastructure Performance & Operations (IPO) team within Digital Products & Solutions. This team is dedicated to developing, operating, and evolving the digital platforms that support product engineering, validation, testing, and business operations across Siemens Gamesa. Our focus areas include platform engineering, automation, virtualization, CI/CD, observability, service reliability, infrastructure modernization, and operational excellence. We collaborate closely with product teams to simplify operations through automation, enhance developer experience, and provide scalable platform capabilities that support the development, validation, and delivery of digital products in the wind energy sector. Working in an Agile environment, we utilize Scrum and SAFe practices, ensuring alignment across development, infrastructure, architecture, validation, and product organizations.
