In this role, you will manage engineering work packages in line with project and business objectives. The Siemens Energy Division ‘Grid Technology’ is one of the leading global suppliers of products, systems, solutions, and services for the economical, reliable, and intelligent transmission and distribution of bulk electrical power. Within Grid Technology Solutions, we connect clean and renewable energy-mainly Offshore Wind Farms and Interconnectors-to the National Grids in the UK and overseas.\nHow You’ll Make an Impact\nAccountable for the delivery of the ‘Primary Equipment’ project scope to budget (or better than budget) and to safety, quality, performance, and schedule requirements.\nCoordinate between all primary design, test, and manufacture functions to produce a robust and reliable electrical design and engineering package, including associated engineering drawings, hardware delivery, and site installation management.\nResponsible for the preparation of offers and project management delivery of all project-related primary and auxiliary electrical systems regarding schedule, cost, quality, and safety.\nManage the transmission equipment offer/order processing team, ensuring close coordination with project management, project leads, and experts from various fields.\nOversee planning, monitoring, and controlling the offer/order processing, including technical conception, scope delimitation, scheduling, costing, quality control, and risk management.\nWhat You’ll Bring\nA successfully completed university degree in electrical engineering, electrical power engineering, or a comparable qualification, with a standard duration of > 3 years.\nSome post-graduate professional experience is desirable, along with experience in project management.\nTechnically knowledgeable and experienced in high voltage transmission equipment and auxiliary systems, with approximately 5 years of proven track record.\nExtensive knowledge of MS Office applications and project management tools.\nBusiness fluent communication in English, with German as an optional language.\nIntercultural experience and a willingness to undertake business trips.\nAbout the Team\nOur Grid Technology Division offers customers a broad portfolio of products, systems, solutions, and services that are geared towards the most important market trends of digitization, decarbonization, grid stability, and electrification.
