Collaborating with suppliers, commodity managers, and internal stakeholders in a multicultural environment, you will lead qualification activities, address nonconformances, conduct root cause investigations, and implement corrective, preventive, and risk mitigation measures to support continuous improvement and project success. Operating in a global, multicultural environment, you will build strong relationships across internal departments and external partners, making effective networking and collaboration essential to success.\nHow You’ll Make an Impact (responsibilities)\n Serve as the primary technical and quality interface for suppliers, collaborating closely with Engineering, Procurement, and Quality teams to drive supplier performance and manufacturability improvements.\n Lead supplier qualification activities, including capability assessments, quality system audits, and evaluation of manufacturing processes.\n Manage product and process qualification (PPQ) activities for large fabricated structures and components, ensuring compliance with applicable standards, requirements, and project milestones.\n Review and approve supplier manufacturing and inspection processes, including Manufacturing Quality Control Plans, FMEAs, inspections, and testing activities.\n Investigate supplier nonconformances, lead root cause analysis, and implement effective corrective, preventive, and risk mitigation actions.\n Drive supplier development and continuous improvement initiatives by monitoring supplier performance, supporting sourcing strategies, and ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and management system requirements.\n What You Bring (requirements)\nBachelor’s degree in Welding, Mechanical, Materials Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.\nCWI certification required; oil & gas industry experience preferred.\n5+ years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering and/or Supplier Quality Engineering, with a focus on large steel fabrications and mechanical assemblies.\nStrong project leadership skills with experience leading cross-functional teams in a global environment; self-motivated with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.\nExtensive knowledge of welding, NDT, GD&T, manufacturing processes, inspection and test plans, and ASME/AWS code requirements.\nProficient in MS Office and SAP ERP; ISO 9001 Lead Auditor, Lean/Six Sigma, and SAP Quality Management experience preferred; able to travel domestically and internationally up to 30-40%.\nApplicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.\nAbout the Team\nTransformation of Industry\nOur Transformation of Industry division is decarbonizing the industrial sector.
