Fire Alarm Technician

Position Location: This role serves customers throughout the greater Broward and Palm Beach County areas.

Fire Alarm Technicians play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of our Smart Buildings. You will participatein theinstallation, programming, start-up, and commissioning of state-of-the-artfire alarm equipment, including fire safety, mass notification, detectors, and field peripherals.Our Fire Alarm Techniciansare the face of Siemens,and your expertiseand regular interaction with the customer will help keep their buildings andinhabitants safe.

As a Fire Alarm Technician, you will:

• Assistwith the commissioning of new fire alarm systems on construction ensuring seamless integration
• Assistwith testing and inspecting of existing fire alarm systems
• Plan work with mentor, Lead Technician, and Team Leader
• Complete commissioning within planned timelines
• Submit accuratetime and expense logs
• Work overtime when needed

You will make an impact with these qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

• Electrical experience (either from a previousrole or through education) and user PC/software skill;proficient in Microsoft Office
• Must be willing and able to differentiate types/colors of wire; use hand tools, laptop, email, smartphone, and tablet; carry and move equipment and tools weighing up to 75 pounds unassisted
• Must obtain NICET Fire Alarm Certification Level 1 within 18 months
• Must be 18 years of age and possessa valid driver's license with limited violations; must meet eligibility requirements to participatein Siemens' fleet vehicle program
• Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications:

• High school diploma or state-recognized GED; Associatedegree in electronics or related field preferred
• 6+monthsexperience installing commercial fire alarm equipment
• Ability to read/understand design and construction documents

The pay range for this position is $43,610 - $74,761 annually. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
