You will leverage your technical expertise in high-voltage equipment, diagnostic testing, and site execution practices to resolve complex technical challenges, improve equipment reliability, and ensure customer satisfaction. We are looking for a technically strong and customer-focused service professional who can combine hands-on field experience, problem-solving capability, and operational excellence to support Siemens Energy's service business growth.\nHow You'll Make an Impact\nExecute installation, commissioning, maintenance, and retrofit activities for Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS) systems up to 420kV while ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards.\nCarry out preventive maintenance and routine servicing activities to maximize equipment reliability, improve operational performance, and minimize unplanned outages.\nDiagnose, troubleshoot, and repair GIS equipment, including replacement of defective components, fault rectification, and post-maintenance testing.\nPerform on-site testing and diagnostics using specialized equipment such as CRM kits, CB timing kits, DCRM test kits, SF6 gas analyzers, HV PD test kits, CPC 100, and CT analyzers.\nAnalyze technical issues and provide effective solutions to customers while ensuring minimum downtime and sustainable equipment performance.\nSupport customers during planned shutdowns, emergency breakdowns, and critical operational situations with timely technical assistance.\nEnsure accurate documentation of service activities, maintenance records, testing reports, modifications, upgrades, and site observations.\nConduct site audits and technical assessments to identify improvement opportunities, enhance service quality, and reduce non-conformities.\nCollaborate closely with customers, project teams, engineering teams, and service stakeholders to ensure efficient project execution and customer satisfaction.\nEnsure compliance with Siemens Energy safety standards, IEC requirements, environmental regulations, and site-specific procedures while maintaining a zero-incident culture.\nParticipate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on service quality, operational efficiency, technical excellence, and customer experience.\nSupport business growth by building strong customer relationships, identifying service opportunities, and contributing to the overall success of the service organization.\nWhat You Bring\nBachelor's Degree / Diploma in Electrical Engineering.\nMinimum 4-5 years of hands-on experience in installation, commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of GIS or high-voltage switchgear systems.\nStrong technical understanding of Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS), high-voltage electrical equipment, protection systems, and substation applications.\nHands-on experience using advanced testing and diagnostic equipment such as CRM kits, CB timing kits, DCRM test kits, SF6 gas analyzers, HV PD test kits, CPC 100, CT analyzers, and related tools.\nAbility to interpret electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.\nStrong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose faults and implement effective corrective actions under challenging field conditions.\nGood understanding of electrical safety practices, IEC standards, maintenance procedures, and quality requirements related to high-voltage equipment.\nStrong communication and customer management skills with the ability to explain technical issues and recommendations clearly to stakeholders.\nAbility to work independently as well as collaboratively within cross-functional and multicultural teams.\nStrong planning, organizational, and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple activities in dynamic project environments.\nWillingness to travel extensively (up to 80%) for domestic and international assignments, including emergency service support and customer shutdown activities.\nPassion for technical excellence, customer service, continuous learning, and operational excellence.\nSiemens Energy India Limited (SEIL)\nSiemens Energy India Limited (SEIL) has been a strategic partner in India for more than 100 years and is focused on being the most-valued energy technology company.
