: GIS Testing Manager\nLocation : Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar, Aurangabad\nKey Responsibilities\n\nTesting Operations Management\nLead and manage routine testing activities of GIS products in accordance with applicable standards, customer specifications, and factory procedures.\nDevelop and monitor daily, weekly, and monthly testing plans aligned with production schedules and business targets.\nEnsure availability and optimal utilization of testing equipment, tools, test bays, and manpower.\nMonitor testing throughput, turnaround time, and productivity KPIs to achieve operational objectives.\nProduction & Resource Planning\nCoordinate with Production, Quality, Engineering, Logistics, and Project Management teams to ensure smooth execution of testing activities.\nPlan workforce allocation and shift schedules to support production requirements.\nIdentify bottlenecks and implement corrective actions to maintain delivery commitments.\nDrive capacity planning and resource optimization initiatives.\nCustomer Inspection & Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT)\nLead customer inspections and Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) for domestic and international customers.\nAct as the primary interface between customers and the testing organization during FAT activities.\nEnsure timely closure of customer observations and technical queries.\nSupport sales and project teams during customer visits and audits.\nTechnical Leadership\nProvide technical leadership for:\no Power Frequency Tests\no Partial Discharge Testing\no Mechanical Operation Testing\no Interlock Verification\no Gas Tightness Testing\no Control Circuit Verification\no HV Test Equipment Operation\nSupport troubleshooting of test failures and implementation of corrective actions.\nCollaborate with R&D, Engineering, and Quality teams to resolve technical issues.\nQuality & Compliance\nEnsure compliance with relevant standards and internal quality procedures.\nMaintain testing records, reports, calibration records, and quality documentation.\nLead internal and external audits and ensure closure of audit findings.\nDrive process standardization and best practices across testing operations.\nTeam Leadership & Development\nLead a team of test engineers, supervisors, technicians, and operators.\nConduct regular operational reviews, safety meetings, and performance discussions.\nDevelop employee competencies through training, coaching, and mentoring.\nMaintain skill matrices, succession plans, and development programs.\nSafety & Laboratory Management\nEnsure compliance with all EHS requirements within the testing area.\nPromote safe operation of high-voltage testing equipment and SF6 handling systems.\nLead risk assessments, safety observations, and incident investigations.\nMaintain 5S standards and workplace organization.\nContinuous Improvement\nLead Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and digitalization initiatives within testing operations.\nMonitor KPIs and implement actions to improve productivity, quality, safety, and cost performance.\nDrive automation and process improvement projects to enhance testing efficiency\nRequired Qualifications\nB.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering.\n8-12 years of experience in GIS manufacturing, high-voltage testing, quality, or production operations.\nStrong knowledge of:\no GIS technology up to EHV/UHV voltage levels\no High-voltage and partial discharge testing\no SF6 insulated switchgear\no FAT and customer inspection processes\no Manufacturing quality systems\no Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience managing testing laboratories for GIS products up to 420 kV / 800 kV.\nSix Sigma Green Belt / Black Belt
