You will contribute to the performance and reliability of key power transmission assets while supporting continuous improvement initiatives and maintaining strong customer relationships. We are looking for a technically sound professional with hands-on experience in High Voltage substations, strong troubleshooting capabilities, and a customer-focused approach.\nHow You'll Make an Impact\nPerform operation and maintenance activities for 220kV and Medium Voltage substations, ensuring equipment reliability and maximum availability.\nExecute preventive, predictive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance activities for substation equipment and associated systems.\nConduct testing and commissioning support for primary electrical equipment in High Voltage AC switchyards and analyze test results for effective fault diagnosis.\nCarry out offline and online condition monitoring of switchyard equipment and support relay protection systems, numerical relays, and SCADA-based monitoring solutions.\nTroubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to substations, protection systems, motors, drives, transformers, and switchyard equipment to minimize downtime.\nEnsure compliance with Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) standards, Siemens Energy policies, and customer-specific safety requirements.\nProvide technical training and knowledge sharing to site personnel on power transmission products, including Extra High Voltage transformers, AIS/GIS equipment, isolators, lightning arresters, and earthing systems.\nCoordinate effectively with customers, contractors, and onsite vendors to ensure smooth site execution and service delivery.\nSupport site management activities, including resource planning, work scheduling, reporting, and stakeholder communication.\nDrive continuous improvement initiatives focused on reliability, operational excellence, safety, and customer satisfaction.\nWhat You Bring\nBachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical & Electronics Engineering with 3-4 years of relevant experience, or Diploma in Electrical Engineering with 6+ years of relevant experience.\nHands-on experience in operation and maintenance of High Voltage substations, preferably in 220kV, 400kV, or 765kV networks.\nStrong technical knowledge of High Voltage primary equipment, protection systems, switchyards, and substation maintenance practices.\nExperience in testing, diagnostics, condition monitoring, and troubleshooting of electrical equipment in transmission substations.\nFamiliarity with numerical relays, protection schemes, SCADA systems, and substation automation.\nGood understanding of HT/LT motors, Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), compressors, chillers, and utility plant equipment will be an added advantage.\nSound knowledge of Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) practices and safe working procedures in High Voltage installations.\nStrong customer-facing skills with the confidence and technical capability to interact directly with customers and resolve site-related issues.\nProven ability to lead and coordinate site teams, contractors, and vendor personnel to achieve project and service objectives.\nGood communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills with a customer-centric mindset.\nWillingness to travel and work at customer sites as per business requirements.\nAbout Siemens Energy India\nSiemens Energy India Limited (SEIL) has been a strategic partner in India for more than 100 years and is focused on being the most-valued energy technology company.
