We deliver maximum value to the business by driving process optimization and digitalization using our ambitious approach, and we support our customers’ current and future business requirements with the help of our high level of process and automation competency.\nPosition Overview:\nYou will be responsible for managing end-to-end corporate tax compliance, quarterly and annual tax reporting, tax accounting, litigation support and direct and international tax advisory activities for Siemens.\nThe role has a strong focus on tax reporting and compliance for listed companies. The incumbent will be expected to manage current and deferred tax computations, effective tax rate analysis, advance-tax workings, tax reporting packages and financial-statement tax disclosures in accordance with Indian Accounting Standards and International Financial Reporting Standards.\nThe successful candidate should combine strong technical knowledge with hands-on execution capabilities, stakeholder-management skills and a sound understanding of financial reporting requirements applicable to large and listed corporate groups.\nYou’ll make a difference by:\n\nLead the preparation of quarterly and annual tax provisions, including computation of current tax and deferred tax in accordance with IFRS and Ind AS requirements.\nPrepare effective tax rate analyses and perform comprehensive annual tax calculations for both current and deferred taxes on a quarterly and annual basis, in alignment with IFRS requirements.\nPrepare and review tax reporting packages for group reporting purposes and ensure timely submission to regional and global stakeholders.\nPrepare tax disclosures for financial statements, including current tax, deferred tax, tax rate reconciliations, deferred tax asset and liability schedules, and related note disclosures.\nSupport quarterly and annual financial close processes by providing accurate tax provisions, supporting schedules, and management reports.\nReview tax accounting positions and ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and internal tax governance requirements.\nDevelop and maintain robust tax provision, deferred tax, and reporting models to improve reporting accuracy and efficiency.\nLead preparation and filing of corporate income tax returns and associated statutory compliances within prescribed timelines.\nCoordinate with tax auditors and statutory auditors during tax audits, financial statement audits, and tax reporting reviews.\nEnsure timely completion of tax audits, filing requirements, and regulatory reporting obligations.\nPrepare quarterly advance tax computations and monitor timely payment of taxes.\nMonitor tax positions and ensure adequate documentation is maintained to support tax treatments adopted in returns and financial statements.\nEvaluate tax risks associated with business transactions and advise stakeholders on appropriate tax positions.\nPrepare robust submissions and coordinate responses for assessments, audits, notices, appeals, and litigation proceedings.\nLiaise with external consultants, counsels, and tax authorities in relation to assessments, appeals, refund claims, rectification applications, and demand management.\nMonitor outstanding tax demands, refund status, and litigation trackers and drive timely resolution.\nProvide advisory support on cross-border transactions, withholding taxes, permanent establishment exposures, tax treaty interpretation, and international tax considerations.\nSupport tax compliance requirements relating to permanent establishments, and foreign tax positions.\nPartner with finance, treasury, legal, procurement, and business functions on tax considerations relating to contracts, business initiatives, restructuring exercises, financing arrangements, M&A transactions, and strategic projects.\nDrive automation and digitalization initiatives within the tax function to enhance efficiency, standardization, and reporting accuracy.\nDevelop and implement robust internal controls around tax reporting, tax accounting, and compliance processes.\nPromote continuous process improvement and best practices across the tax function.\nContinuously monitor developments in domestic and international tax laws, accounting standards, and judicial precedents.\nConduct training sessions and awareness trainings for finance and business stakeholders on key direct tax and tax reporting developments\nYour success is grounded in:\nQualified Chartered Accountant. Equivalent international qualifications, such as Certified Public Accountant, may also be considered.\nAdditional qualifications such as LL.B., MBA in Finance, Diploma in International Taxation or other relevant tax certifications would be an advantage.\nRelevant post-qualification experience in corporate direct taxation, tax accounting, tax reporting, litigation and international taxation with 4+yrs of experience.\nMandatory hands-on experience in managing tax provisions and related tax compliance and reporting requirements for a listed company.\nPrior experience with a listed company, multinational corporate group, Big Four consulting firm is desirable.\nKey Competencies:\n\nStrong technical knowledge of corporate tax and tax accounting.\nDemonstrated ownership of quarterly and annual tax reporting cycles.\nHigh degree of accuracy, attention to detail and financial discipline\nAbility to operate effectively within demanding quarterly-close timelines.\nStrong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.\nExcellent stakeholder-management and communication skills.\nStrong documentation, review and control orientation.\nAbility to communicate complex tax matters in a concise and business-friendly manner.\nCollaborative mindset with the ability to work across functions, entities and geographies.\nDigital mindset and willingness to drive automation and process transformation.\nJoin us and be yourself!\nWe value your unique identity and perspective and are fully committed to providing equitable opportunities and building a workplace that reflects the diversity of society.
