This program is based in Raleigh, NC.\nYou’ll make an impact by:\nSupporting engineering work via modeling of designs (3D NX CAD and 2D AutoCAD Electrical). \nWorking on team improvement projects focused on process documentation and work instructions. \nDesigning new parts for prototypes with support of senior members and updating existing parts to improve designs. \nSupporting prototype builds with support of senior members and JT files. \nProviding production and lab support on product assembly. \nYou’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:\nBasic Qualifications:\nCurrent rising junior or senior pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.\nPrior internship experience with the Siemens US Electrification & Automation (EA) division.\nAbility to work full-time (40 hours per week) for the duration of the 12-week internship.\nEligible candidates must be located within 50 miles of Raleigh, NC, as this role does not provide housing or relocation support. \nLegally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis. \nThis internship is a structured experiential learning program for individuals currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program who will continue their studies following the assignment. Current and continuing enrollment is a condition of participation. Applicants who have completed or expect to complete their educational program before or during the assignment period are encouraged to explore our Early Career Development Program opportunities.\nPreferred Qualifications:\n3D modeling/drafting experience (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, NX). \nMechanical design knowledge and basic electrical concept knowledge. \nAbility to prioritize work and meet project deadlines. \nGood verbal and written communication skills. \nExperience with Microsoft Office products, including proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. \nAs part of the application, you will be asked to confirm your enrollment status. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
