This position is based in Gurgaon (India) and majority of the tasks are to design new R&D projects from concept to detail design. But the role also demands support in Global Customer Order Engineering projects.\nHow You’ll Make an Impact\n Communication & Collaboration with Colleagues in Germany & USA.\n Responsible for issuing Piping Drawings for project specific applications.\n Review, Control and Own 3D Piping Models.\n Model Piping & Supports in Open Plant Software.\n Understand Pipe Stress Analysis and Pipe Support Calculations.\n Review vendor drawings as required.\n Complete interface with various disciplines at all levels.\n Provide engineering assistance to Plant Construction and start-up.\n Resolve all Field Interference Issues.\n Co-ordinate with Piping Fabricators, Piping Insulation Vendors, Project Management & the client.\n Participate in vendor surveillance program and assist QA.\n Write/Create Piping Material Classifications.\n Troubleshooting\n What You Bring\n9 to 12 years of Piping & Supports engineering work experience.Knowledge of major components of power plants\nBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering\nKnowledge of major components of power plants\nCompetent handling of 3d Software (Preferably Open Plant)\nUnderstanding of Piping Stress analysis. Ability to read/understand calculation Outputs.\nKnowledge of Pressure Drop & Pipe Thickness Calculations\nExperience with ASME B31.1, ASME B16.5, AISC Latest Edition, and AWS.\nExperience in performing hand calculations for pipe supports. These calculations include but not limited to qualification of structural members, weld sizing, base plate qualification, anchor bolt evaluation, spring hangers, etc. Experience in using STAAD III.\nExperience with Pipe fabrication requirements and material selections and write fabrication spec if needed.\nFamiliarity with Heat Tracing is desirable\nSolid experience with working in a global team\nAbility to travel in India & globally to various sites\nAbility and willingness to learn new fields,\nCommitted to personal development and continuous improvement\nHigh flexibility in taking new tasks/responsibilities\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills\nCoaching & Multiplier Skills including Training\n\nWho is Siemens Energy?\nAt Siemens Energy, we are more than just an energy technology company.
