The role requires strong working knowledge of e-Way Bill reconciliation, GST returns, Input Tax Credit (ITC), tax liability reconciliations with accounting ledgers and turnover, and effective coordination with business stakeholders. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and disciplined management of statutory timelines are essential\nYou’ll make a difference by:\nE-Way Bill Reconciliation & Controls\nPerform periodic reconciliation of e-Way Bill data with the Sales Register and GSTR-1 reporting available in SAP reports.\nIdentify invoice transactions where e-Way Bills were required but not generated, and e-Way Bills generated without corresponding transactions in the books/system.\nInvestigate exceptions and collaborate with business teams to obtain appropriate supporting documents.\nPrepare monthly e-Way Bill exception reports, track open issues, and drive closure with a clear audit trail.\nReview discrepancies in invoice number/date, document value, GSTIN, HSN, vehicle details, customer information, and place of supply.\nE-Way Bill Compliance\nManage end-to-end e-Way Bill compliance for movement of goods.\nDetermine applicability based on transaction type, value, movement of goods, and relevant GST requirements.\nReview e-Way Bills for accuracy and ensure correct completion of Part A and Part B.\nValidate supplier/recipient GSTIN, document details, HSN, taxable value, dispatch/delivery location, transporter ID, vehicle number, mode of transport, distance, and other transportation details.\nMonitor e-Way Bill validity and coordinate permitted cancellations, vehicle updates, transporter updates, and other changes.\nMonitor duplicate, cancelled, expired, or incorrect e-Way Bills and coordinate corrective actions.\nTransaction-Specific e-Way Bill Review\nReview the transaction flow and determine the appropriate e-Way Bill treatment for:\nDomestic sales; inter-state and intra-state movements\nStock/branch transfers; customer and purchase returns\nJob-work transactions; warehouse movements\nImports and exports\nBill-to / Ship-to transactions and transporter movements\nDelivery challan-based movements and other movements without a conventional sales invoice, where applicable\n\nGST Compliance\nGSTR-1 and GSTR-3B compliance\nGSTR-2B reconciliation and Input Tax Credit review\nReverse Charge Mechanism (RCM)\nDebit and Credit Notes and GST amendments\nGST reconciliations and registrations\nBasic understanding of blocked/ineligible ITC\nGST documentation and record retention\nE-Invoice Compliance\nUnderstand e-Invoicing applicability and monitor IRN generation.\nReview IRN and QR code-related exceptions.\nReconcile e-Invoice data with ERP/SAP transactions.\nUnderstand the relationship between e-Invoice, GST invoice, Delivery Challan, and e-Way Bill, including supporting documentation based on the purpose of goods movement.\nCoordinate resolution of e-Invoice errors with business and IT teams.\nYour success is grounded\nBachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, Taxation, Business Administration, or a related discipline.\n2+ years of relevant experience in GST / Indirect Tax compliance.\nStrong hands-on expertise in e-Way Bill compliance and working knowledge of Indian GST provisions.\nHands-on experience with SAP and strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.\nExperience handling large transaction volumes and GST/e-Way Bill reconciliations.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with high accuracy and attention to detail.\nAbility to work independently, manage statutory deadlines, and communicate effectively with stakeholders.\nPreferred Skill\nSAP S/4HANA experience\nKnowledge of e-Invoicing and IRN compliance\nExperience in manufacturing, supply chain, logistics, multinational, or shared-services environments\nExperience handling multi-state GST registrations\nAdvanced Excel / Power Query skills\nExposure to GST audits and departmental queries\nExperience in process improvement and automation\nKey Competencies\nStrong e-Way Bill technical knowledge and GST compliance expertise\nSAP proficiency and Excel/data-analysis skills\nReconciliation capability and analytical thinking\nProblem solving and attention to detail\nOwnership, accountability, and stakeholder management\nAbility to work effectively under tight compliance deadlines\nJoin us and be yourself!\nThis role is based in Bangalore, where you’ll get the chance to work with teams impacting entire cities, countries - and the shape of things to come.\nWe’re Siemens.
