This role focuses on external interface connectivity, including PCIe and Ethernet, leveraging the latest advancements in Siemens' proFPGA CS technology.\nThe ideal candidate is a strong communicator with proven leadership skills, deep expertise in hardware design and verification, and a passion for solving complex technical challenges. You will collaborate closely with customers and help deliver world-class electronic design automation solutions to some of the world's largest electronics and semiconductor companies.\nResponsibilities:\nSupport Application Engineers (AEs) and customers with the integration, configuration, and debugging of interface solutions on the proFPGA CS prototyping platform.\nEnable and troubleshoot PCIe, Ethernet, flash, and other extension boards connected to Xilinx VP1902 FPGAs.\nConfigure and debug Xilinx IP to ensure seamless integration with extension boards.\nDrive the adoption of prototyping technologies by providing hands-on technical expertise and working directly with customers to deliver successful outcomes.\nBuild and maintain strong customer relationships by delivering exceptional technical support and ensuring long-term customer satisfaction.\nPartner with the sales team to support business growth and identify new opportunities.\nCollaborate with R&D teams by providing customer feedback and contributing ideas for product enhancements.\nTroubleshoot complex technical issues and work cross-functionally to resolve challenges efficiently.\nDevelop and deliver technical presentations, product demonstrations, and training sessions on new features and product updates.\nCommunicate customer requirements and market feedback to Product Marketing to influence future product direction.\nBuild peer-level technical relationships with customer engineering teams.\nContribute to the design, development, and implementation of large-scale solutions across multiple software products and hardware platforms.\nAuthor technical papers and deliver presentations to customer leadership and at industry conferences.\nIndependently manage complex projects with minimal supervision, exercising sound technical judgment and decision-making.\nRequired experience/skills\nBachelor's degree with 8+ years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with 5+ years of relevant experience.\nProven experience designing, implementing, and testing FPGA-based designs.\nHands-on experience with the Xilinx Vivado toolset for IP creation, integration, and design optimization.\nExperience using the Xilinx Integrated Logic Analyzer (ILA) for debugging.\nPractical experience working with hardware in a laboratory environment.\nKnowledge of PCIe and/or Ethernet protocols.\nPreferably has experience using commercial FPGA prototyping platforms, preferably Siemens proFPGA or proFPGA CS.\nNice to have experience with FPGA embedded processors and PetaLinux.\nNice to have previous customer-facing experience, such as an Application Engineer supporting emulation or FPGA prototyping solutions.\nNice to have experience creating and delivering technical presentations to engineering audiences.\nWhy Us?\nAt Siemens Software, flexibility is how we work-hybrid by default, built on trust and autonomy.
