The role requires expertise in electronics debugging, failure analysis, root cause investigation, and coordination with Design, Manufacturing, Quality, and Test Engineering teams to ensure product reliability and compliance with railway standards.\nPCBA Debugging & Repair\n·Diagnose and troubleshoot PCBA failures identified during production, testing, Internal FAT, Customer FAT, and field returns.\n·Perform component-level debugging using schematics, BOMs, Gerber files, and test documentation.\n·Analyze analogue, digital, power supply, communication, and processor-based circuits.\n·Repair defective PCBAs through component replacement and rework activities.\n·Identify intermittent and recurring failures and implement corrective actions.\nTesting & Validation\n Perform functional testing of railway signalling modules and assemblies.\n Use oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multimeters, spectrum analyzers, and communication test equipment.\n Verify PCBA performance against design specifications and test procedures.\n Support environmental, burn-in, reliability, and endurance testing activities.\n Root Cause Analysis\n Conduct failure analysis using systematic debugging methodologies.\n Prepare detailed RCA reports and recommend corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).\n Work closely with Design Engineering for design-related issues.\n Monitor failure trends and drive continuous improvement initiatives.\n Production Support\n Provide technical support to SMT, Assembly, Testing, and Integration teams.\n Support NPI (New Product Introduction) activities.\n Reduce production rejection rates through effective troubleshooting.\n Ensure quick turnaround of failed units to meet production schedules.\n Documentation & Compliance\n·Maintain debugging records, repair history, and failure databases.\n·Prepare technical reports and improvement recommendations.\n·Ensure compliance with railway standards, quality procedures, and ESD requirements.\n·Support internal and external audits.\nYour success is grounded in:\n2-5 Years (Railway Electronics / Industrial Electronics Preferred)\nElectronics Knowledge\n·Strong understanding of:\noAnalog and Digital Electronics\noMicroprocessors and Microcontrollers\noCommunication Protocols (RS232, RS485, CAN, Ethernet)\noPower Electronics\noFPGA-based systems (preferred)\nDebugging Tools\n·Oscilloscope\n·Digital Multimeter (DMM)\n·Logic Analyzer\n·Function Generator\n·ICT/FCT Test Systems\n·JTAG Programming Tools\nDocumentation\n·Reading Schematics and Circuit Diagrams\n·BOM Verification\n·Engineering Change Notes (ECN)\n·Failure Analysis Reports\nRailway Signalling Knowledge (Preferred)\n·Electronic Interlocking (EI)\n·Axle Counter Systems\n·Object Controllers\n·Vital Relay Driver Units\n·Wayside Signalling Equipment\n·Kavach / Train Protection Systems\n·SIL-based Safety-Critical Electronics\n·RDSO Specifications and Railway Standards\nEducational Qualification\n B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in: \n oElectronics & Communication Engineering (ECE) /\noElectrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE)\nRequired Competencies\n·Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.\n·Systematic approach to fault diagnosis.\n·Excellent problem-solving capability.\n·Good communication and report-writing skills.\n·Ability to work under production and project deadlines.\n·Team player with cross-functional coordination skills.\nJoin us and be yourself!\nWe value your unique identity and perspective and are fully committed to providing equitable opportunities and building a workplace that reflects the diversity of society.
