We foster a teamwork culture with room for individual development\nPlease visit https://siemensneo.com/disw/\nDesign-to-Silicon (D2S) is seeking a highly qualified Software Test Engineer to join the Calibre Semi Manufacturing QA Team.\nResponsibilities\nChampion quality processes and procedures throughout the product lifecycle, including requirements reviews, inspections, code reviews, test coverage, and continuous quality improvement.\nDefine product-quality expectations, create measurable test plans, and ensure those plans are executed.\nDevelop, maintain, and improve automated tests, with a strong focus on Python-based test automation and software engineering.\nCreate Python scripts and reusable tools to automate test execution, analyze results, investigate failures, and improve test coverage.\nExplore and build agentic workflow scripts to coordinate repeatable QA tasks, such as running tests, gathering evidence, checking results, and supporting defect triage.\nHelp ensure schedules are predictable by tracking test progress and reporting against objectives.\nUnderstand quality expectations at each product lifecycle phase and verify that the product works in customer-intended environments.\nWork with customers, Marketing, Customer Support, Product, and R&D to understand customer needs, software features, and usage scenarios.\nRecord verification and validation procedures, test data, and results to ensure testing is reproducible.\nAssess product functionality, reliability, ease of use, and serviceability.\nTest for defects, limitations, and boundary conditions, cons\nidering the different ways the product might not work as expected.\nCollaborate with global engineering and QA teams.\nReview functional and design specifications, project documentation, and internal and external product and release documentation; provide appropriate feedback.\nCoordinate with Software Development and Release teams to help deliver quality software releases.\nQualifications\nB.Sc. or M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Communication, Computer Engineering, or a related field.\nExperience in software testing and test automation.\nStrong Python scripting skills, with an interest in building test frameworks, automation tools, and reliable software workflows.\nInterest in agentic flow scripting and applying scripted workflows to automate and streamline QA activities.\nVery good knowledge of Linux/Unix operating systems.\nFamiliarity with version control tools such as Git or CVS.\nFamiliarity with defect-tracking systems such as Jira.\nKnowledge of Bash and Tcl.\nGood knowledge of IC manufacturing processes and IC layout design.\nKnowledge of software quality assurance processes and software testing concepts is an asset.\nExcellent communication skills and the ability to work closely with Product Owners and R&D to understand software features and customer usage.\nSelf-motivated, with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to learn continuously.\nOur Benefits & Rewards\nThe salary range for this position is $17,700 to $35,400 and this role is eligible to earn incentive compensation.
