Also, our full-stack AI infrastructure operations platform including a chat bot and our end-to-end budget tracking system amongst other projects. You will be responsible for the health, design, implementation, and production reliability of the platforms.\nKey Responsibilities\nAs a Full Stack Developer, your responsibilities will include:\nPlatform accountability: Take technical accountability for maintaining, evolving, and operating production platform initiatives, with readiness to absorb additional initiatives in the future.\nBackend Services: Design, implement, and operate platform components using\nPython, with an emphasis on reliability, performance, and long-term maintainability.\nAI Agent Development: maintain AI agents using Python, working with LLM APIs, agent\nframeworks, prompt design, tools, guardrails, and fallback flows. Design agents that\nsupport infrastructure workflows such as VM provisioning, troubleshooting, incident triage, and operational recommendations.\nAPIs & Integrations: Build and evolve APIs and integration services for internal and external consumers. Integrate with cloud, virtualization, monitoring, ITSM, and infrastructure systems.\nFull-Stack Command Center Development: Maintain web applications using React, Next.js, FastAPI, and TypeScript.\nSystem Design: Contribute to architecture discussions, evaluating trade-offs between simplicity, scalability, and operational complexity.\nMonitoring, Logging & Alerting: Improve system operability by enhancing logging, metrics, alerting, observability, and deployment workflows.\nAutomation & CI/CD: Maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines to automate delivery, testing, and deployment processes.\nCode Quality: Participate in code reviews and design discussions, maintaining high standards for code quality, testing, and documentation.\nAI Risk Management: Monitor agent accuracy, failures, latency, cost, and user\nfeedback. Manage AI risks such as hallucinations, unsafe recommendations, prompt injection, and unauthorized actions.\nProduction Support: Own incident triage, troubleshooting, and resolution for all\nPlatforms.\nSkills Required (Non-Technical)\nProven ability to own and deliver complex features from design through production.\nStrong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly.\nAbility to work effectively in a collaborative, global, agile environment.\nSkills Required (Technical)\nPython Backend & Platform Engineering\nStrong Python development experience at a senior level.\nExperience building APIs using FastAPI.\nExperience designing backend services for agent execution, workflows, infrastructure actions, and integrations.\nExperience building background jobs, queues, schedulers, and automation workflows.\nAbility to write reliable, testable, maintainable code and debug production issues.\nAI Agent & LLM Application Development\nExperience building and maintaining AI agents using Python.\nWorking knowledge of LLM APIs, agent frameworks, prompt design, tools, guardrails, and fallback flows.\nExperience using internal documentation, runbooks, logs, tickets, and knowledge bases for retrieval-augmented responses.\nReact / TypeScript Full-Stack Development\nExperience with React and Next.js, including server-side rendering, API routes, and modern frontend architecture patterns.\nStrong focus on developer experience and maintainable, scalable frontend codebases.\nExperience integrating frontend applications with Python backend APIs.\nInfrastructure & Cloud Operations\nExperience with cloud platforms, primarily AWS.\nUnderstanding of virtualization platforms, infrastructure APIs, and infrastructure-as-code concepts.\nExperience with monitoring, logging, alerting, and operational runbooks.\nCloud & DevOps\nExperience with CI/CD pipelines.\nExperience with containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.\nSolid understanding of distributed systems and cloud-native architectures.\nEducation & Experience\nBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.\n7 years of professional experience as a Principal engineer or in a similar role.\nWhy Join Us?\nWe are Siemens:\nAt Siemens Software, flexibility is how we work-hybrid by default, built on trust and autonomy.
