Your mission is to maintain and extend the core server-side capabilities of our Teamcenter environment, ensuring that our PLM system remains the robust, high-performance engine at the heart of the digital thread.\nIn this role, you will take full technical ownership of the existing Teamcenter connector implementation used within the Active Integration portfolio. You will lead the transition of legacy data extraction functions to modern TCXML or TCJSON-based approaches, utilizing an AI-based development approach to accelerate innovation and ensure high-quality, maintainable code.\nKey Responsibilities\n1. Active Integration Connector Ownership & Modernization\n Technical Authority: Take responsibility for the existing Teamcenter connector implementation used in Active Integration.\n Implementation: Lead the development and maintenance of C++ based SOA client connectors and ITK extensions.\n Data Strategy: Lead the transition of legacy data extraction functions to modern, efficient TCXML or TCJSON based approaches.\n 2. AI-Assisted Engineering & Innovation\n\nDesign and prototype AI-enabled engineering solutions using frameworks such as PyTorch and LangChain, including LLM-based workflows, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and intelligent automation use cases relevant to Teamcenter and enterprise integrations.\nIntegrate AI capabilities with existing applications and services through APIs, secure data pipelines, and reusable components, with attention to performance, scalability, data privacy, and maintainability.\nActively explore and apply AI-based approaches to optimize Teamcenter performance, integration efficiency, and developer productivity.\n3. Server-Side & Client-Side Extensions\n ITK & SOA Development: Design, implement, and maintain Teamcenter server-side code extensions using C++ (ITK) and develop TcSoa services.\n Multi-Language Proficiency: Utilize Java and other modern development skills to support client-side connectivity, integration logic, and supporting tools.\n Integration Endpoints: Develop specific backend endpoints that enable Active Workspace (AWC) user actions to trigger complex integration functions.\n 4. Data Model & Admin Extensions\n BMIDE Excellence: Manage and maintain Admin Data related extensions, ensuring the Teamcenter data model is optimized for performance and scalability via the Business Modeler IDE (BMIDE).\n 5. Quality & Collaborative Engineering\n Peer Collaboration: Actively participate in Peer Programming and Merge Request handling to ensure high code quality.\n Automated Testing: Develop unit and integration tests for server-side and client-side extensions to ensure stability during upgrade cycles.\n Required Qualifications & Technical Skills\nTechnical Competencies\n\nExpert proficiency in C++ (for ITK and SOA clients) and strong proficiency in Java and other modern development languages; working knowledge of Python for AI/ML development is expected.\nPractical experience of implementing Teamcenter AIG at customers will be an added advantage.\nHands-on exposure to PyTorch and LangChain, with the ability to build or integrate AI/ML models, LLM applications, prompt workflows, agents, or RAG-based solutions.\nPractical experience using AI coding assistants and related tools to improve code generation, refactoring, testing, documentation, and troubleshooting, with sound engineering judgment when validating generated output.\nUnderstanding of REST APIs, embeddings, vector databases, model/service integration, data preprocessing, model evaluation, and secure handling of enterprise data is desirable.\nPractical experience or strong knowledge of TCXML and TCJSON for high-performance data exchange.\nProven experience in developing and consuming TcSoa services and integrating them with Active Workspace (AWC).\nSoft Skills\n Solution-Driven: You enjoy finding the best technical solution for the end-user and the business.\n Team Player: You thrive in a collaborative environment and are eager to share knowledge through peer reviews.\n Communication: Good command of English (written and spoken) for effective collaboration with global teams.\n Why us?\nWorking at Siemens Software means flexibility - Choosing between working at home and the office at other times is the norm here.
