You will combine strong software testing fundamentals with programming and automation skills to improve product quality, test coverage, and release confidence.\nYou will work closely with Product Management, Software Development, Applications Engineering, and Quality Engineering teams, while also collaborating with other QA specialists across Siemens in areas such as automation, performance testing, and security testing.\nThe ideal candidate is a logical thinker and strong problem solver who enjoys understanding how software works, identifying defects, automating repetitive activities, and continuously improving the way software is tested.\n\nKey Responsibilities\nDevelop test automation: Design, implement, maintain, and execute automated tests for functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end scenarios using appropriate frameworks and programming languages.\nDrive test coverage: Work with Product Managers, Developers, and Quality Engineers to understand requirements, identify risks, define test cases, and develop effective automation strategies for new features and product releases.\nEnable continuous testing: Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to provide rapid feedback, detect defects early, and improve the efficiency and reliability of software delivery.\nTest APIs and data: Perform API testing using RESTful services and tools such as Postman or Swagger, and validate application data using SQL queries and SPARQL where applicable.\nInvestigate and resolve quality issues: Execute automated and functional tests, analyze failures and results, identify defects, perform structured troubleshooting, and collaborate with development teams to drive resolution.\nImprove automation frameworks: Continuously enhance existing test frameworks, scripts, and utilities to improve maintainability, efficiency, reliability, and test coverage.\nCollaborate and contribute to quality excellence: Maintain clear test documentation, share knowledge, and collaborate with the Siemens Quality Center of Excellence to adopt effective quality engineering practices and emerging testing technologies.\n\nQualifications\n3+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance / Software Testing, with hands-on experience in test automation.\nStrong programming or scripting skills in Java, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or a comparable language, with the ability to develop maintainable automation solutions.\nHands-on experience with test automation frameworks and tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Katalon Studio, PyTest, TestNG, JUnit, or equivalent.\nExperience with API testing and database validation, including RESTful APIs, SQL queries, and tools such as Postman or Swagger.\nFamiliarity with SPARQL and RDF/knowledge graph concepts, including the ability to write or assess SPARQL queries for data retrieval and validation.\nFamiliarity with Git and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, CircleCI, GitLab CI, or equivalent, with an understanding of integrating automated tests into pipelines.\nStrong understanding of software testing methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, TDD, and BDD, combined with strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.\n\nPreferred Skills\nExposure to AI agents, LLM-driven applications, or AI-assisted automation, including technologies such as Anthropic Claude or equivalent.\nFamiliarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.\nExperience with Docker, Kubernetes, or other containerization technologies.\nExposure to performance testing tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner.\nFamiliarity with security testing practices such as DAST and penetration testing concepts.\nExperience testing browser-based applications, including functionality, performance, and cross-browser compatibility.\nExperience or interest in Data Science, Data Visualization, Data Analytics, RDF, or Knowledge Graph technologies.\nExperience with defect and test management tools such as JIRA, X-Ray, TestRail, or Zephyr.\n\nWhy Us\nAt Siemens Software, flexibility is how we work - hybrid by default, built on trust and autonomy.
