The challenge is no longer only to build accurate models, but also to make their capabilities accessible through intuitive and domain-specific user experiences.\nWe are looking for a motivated engineering student to explore how Generative AI, interactive applications, and advanced visualization technologies can transform Simcenter Amesim models into tailored engineering applications with minimal development effort.\nDuring this 6-month internship, you will work at the intersection of simulation, AI-assisted engineering, software development, and digital engineering. You will investigate how AI can automatically generate applications for model configuration, execution, and results analysis, making simulation expertise more accessible to a wider range of users.\nYou will join the Simcenter Amesim Product Development team in Lyon, France, collaborating with experts in simulation technologies and next-generation engineering workflows. Your work may contribute to future product innovations and help define how engineers interact with simulation models in the era of AI.\nKey Responsibilities\nSimulation Pre-Processing\nExplore mechanisms for exposing simulation expertise through simplified user interactions. \nDesign intuitive tailor-made applications and interfaces for simulation model configuration and parametrization \nDevelop tailor-made applications to generate model variants and simulation studies from high-level engineering requests \nInvestigate how engineering, operational, and field data can be integrated into simulation workflows. \nSimulation Post-Processing\nDesign advanced visualization experiences for analyzing and comparing simulation scenarios. \nDevelop interactive dashboards tailored to specific engineering domains and decision-making processes. \nInvestigate novel ways of presenting simulation results to non-expert users. \nAI-Assisted Engineering Applications\nExplore how Generative AI can automatically create tailored engineering applications around Simcenter Amesim models \nDefine reusable building blocks including visualizations, animations, dashboards, and data model interactions \nExplore how simulation concepts can be exposed through simple APIs consumable by AI-generated applications \nDefine and evaluate mechanisms to constrain, validate, and secure AI-generated code through templating, sandboxing, and scoped execution environments \nEvaluate technologies such as artifacts, live rendering, application generation workflows, and rapid deployment mechanisms. \nAssess how AI can reduce the amount of custom development required to build customer-specific simulation experiences \nThis 6-month internship is based in Villeurbanne, near Lyon (69), and starts from January 2027.\nQualifications\nYou are currently pursuing a Master's degree (BAC+5) in Software engineering in France:\nFull-stack programming skills (Python, Golang and JavaScript (React)). \nExperience with web technologies and application development. \nAnalytical mindset and strong problem-solving capabilities. \nStrong interest in Artificial Intelligence, Generative AI, or AI-assisted software development. \nInterest in simulation, digital engineering, MBSE, or digital twins. \nCuriosity, creativity, and willingness to explore innovative concepts.
