In the context of standardizing them, easing the necessary checks and decreasing maintenance efforts, a generic platform-agnostic framework has been developed, in python. The goal is to provide basic bricks as well as a predefined and robust architecture, assembling them to easily define a tool and its behavior. The framework still lacks some key processes so that it can be more widely spread among existing tools. Among these processes, the possibility to propose a “fitting/calibration feature” within the framework could help a lot with the transition.\nYou will be mentored by experienced guides, gain invaluable professional experience, and access our international student network, comprehensive training resources, and exciting collaborative projects within a global, diverse team.\nKey Responsibilities\nAssess the existing python framework \nConduct a gathering of existing tools using a “fitting/calibration” among four different teams \nUnderstand the needs, the specificities and extract common grounds \nPropose an integrated solution of the “fitting” feature within the framework \nTranslate at least one existing tool to the new framework \nThis 4 to 6-month internship is based in Villeurbanne, near Lyon (69), and starts from January 2027.\nQualifications\nCurrently pursuing higher education in engineering (BAC+4 or BAC+5) in France, with focus on software development, mathematical skills:\nKnowledge of design patterns, clean code rules \nGood level in Python \nUnderstanding in fitting/calibration processes (how to infer a mathematical representation from raw data) is appreciated\nKnowledge in the use of Qt is appreciated \nFluent in both French and English, enabling effective team collaboration \nAbility to work autonomously as well as collaboratively with mentors and team members \nWhy Us\nAt Siemens Software, flexibility is how we work-hybrid by default, built on trust and autonomy.
