Professional Experience\nIndustry Tenure: 3 to 4 years of experience within a manufacturing environment, specifically working with Tier-1 or OEM supplier quality functions.\nFoundry Domain Expertise: At least 2-3 years of direct hands-on experience in aluminium casting processes (e.g., High-Pressure Die Casting [HPDC], Low-Pressure Die Casting [LPDC], or Gravity/Sand Casting).\nMachining Intersect: Proven track record verifying the machining and surface treatments of cast components (e.g., casting vessels/housing, conductive conductors).\nTechnical & Casting-Specific Skills\nDefect Diagnostics: Deep knowledge of casting defect root-cause analysis (e.g., diagnosing and eliminating porosity, cold shuts, shrinkage cavity, and gas inclusions).\nGeometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T): Mastery of GD&T principles to accurately interpret engineering drawings and evaluate tight tolerances on complex cast surfaces.\nMetrology Tools: Hands-on proficiency with Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM), Video Measuring Machines (VMM), profile projectors, and standard inspection instruments (micrometers, calipers).\nMetallurgical Testing: Familiarity with on-site evaluation equipment like spectrometers (for alloy composition verification) and Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) such as X-ray and ultrasonic testing.\nQuality Frameworks & Certifications\nIndustrial Standards: Working knowledge of ISO 9001, or VDA 6.3 quality management systems.\nCore Quality Tools (Five Core Tools): Expert execution of APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning), PPAP (Production Part Approval Process), FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis), SPC (Statistical Process Control), and MSA (Measurement Systems Analysis).\nProblem-Solving Methodologies: Demonstrated capability utilizing 8D, 5-Why, Fishbone diagrams, and DMAIC for resolving major supplier non-conformances.\nProfessional Certifications: ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Six Sigma Green/Black Belt is highly preferred.\nSiemens Energy India Limited (SEIL) has been a strategic partner in India for more than 100 years and is focused on being the most-valued energy technology company.
