The Technical Sales Support Manager leads the team responsible for technical consulting and application engineering across Siemens Digital Industries connectivity portfolio and related customer use cases. The team consists of Technical Consultants who serve as subject matter experts in network infrastructure, cybersecurity, and IT/OT integration. The manager sets direction, deploys expertise against the highest-value opportunities, develops technical capability, and ensures the team converts complex connectivity requirements into feasible, secure, and business-relevant customer solutions.

This position will be Remote.

You’ll make an impact by:

  • Strategy, Leadership, and Team Development: Establish and execute the strategy for the organizational unit, align capabilities and investments with business objectives, and lead workforce planning, coaching, development, and performance management for a high-performing technical consulting team.
  • Technical Consulting and Solution Leadership: Lead technical consulting activities that help customers and sales teams evaluate, design, validate, and integrate Siemens connectivity technologies while ensuring high-quality delivery across network infrastructure and IT/OT integration use cases.
  • Resource Management and Business Prioritization: Prioritize and deploy Technical Consultant resources in coordination with sales leadership, aligning capacity to opportunities with the greatest customer and business impact.
  • Cross-Functional Engagement and Market Enablement: Build strong relationships across Sales, Customer Solution Architects, Portfolio Sales Specialists, Marketing, Project and Service Execution, and domain and global partners while supporting strategic programs, product launches, campaigns, demonstrations, and customer-facing content.
  • Capability Development and Organizational Effectiveness: Develop the capabilities of internal technical resources, sales teams, channel partners, and solution partners through knowledge transfer, mentoring, enablement programs, and reusable technical assets.
  • Operational Excellence and Continuous Improvement: Manage budgets, resource allocation, utilization, and operational performance while leveraging customer feedback, business outcomes, demand trends, and market insights to continuously improve technical coverage, engagement models, processes, and tools.

You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
  • 8+ years of experience in industrial automation, industrial networking, IT/OT integration, application engineering, technical consulting, or related industrial technologies.
  • Demonstrated people leadership experience, including leading, coaching, developing, and managing technical professionals and subject matter experts.
  • Strong knowledge of industrial network architectures, communication technologies, system integration, and the application of connectivity solutions in industrial environments.
  • Proven ability to translate customer and business requirements into technical priorities, resource plans, and execution strategies while effectively prioritizing resources across multiple opportunities and stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership, communication, presentation, and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to influence outcomes and operate effectively in a matrixed organization.
  • Proficient in English both written and verbal
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States permanently without company sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in leading technical professionals and subject matter experts in technical consulting, customer engagement, solution validation, and business-critical opportunity support.
  • Advanced knowledge of industrial networking, IT/OT integration, industrial cybersecurity, and Siemens connectivity technologies, including their application within modern automation architectures.
  • Strategic Agility: Ability to foresee future trends in industrial automation and digitalization, contributing to competitive and breakthrough strategies and plans, and influencing outcomes without direct authority.
  • Business Acumen: Deep understanding of business operations and market dynamics, with knowledge of current and future practices, trends, and information impacting the industrial business landscape.
  • Exceptional Customer Focus: A dedication to understanding and meeting customer needs, leveraging insights to drive continuous improvement in products, solutions, and services.
  • High Degree of Professional Ownership: Demonstrate strong personal accountability and take initiative to drive projects to completion, even in large, complex working groups.

The pay range for this position is $112,961 - $213,062 annually with a target incentive of 15% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
