Sierra Circuit serves all industries including aerospace, defense, medical, automotive, and telecommunications, building PCBs to the highest industry standards, and keeping innovation at the forefront of everything we do.\nSUMMARY OF JOB FUNCTION:\nThe Planning Engineer is responsible for reviewing customer-supplied data and drawings, performing design rule checks, and the creation of manufacturing data, programs, and tools required for the manufacture of printed circuit boards. She/He is also responsible for creating shop travelers using customer-provided documentation, interpreting customer and industry specifications, and reviewing customer-supplied data and past part history.\nRESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:\n Import customer data into various CAM systems.\nPerform design rule checks and Plan the job using this information.\nCreate array configurations, \nCreate shop travelers, interpret customer-supplied documentation, and interpret industry specifications.\nCreate multi-layer, impedance, blind/buried via stack-ups.\nWork with process engineers to evaluate and provide a strategy for advanced processing as needed.\nItemize and correspond to design issues with customers using our portal.\nMust be flexible to maintain effective throughput within the department, some days may be only planning functions while some days may be strictly cam functions or any combination dependent on department backlog and scheduling demands. \nOther duties as assigned. \nQUALIFICATIONS:\nAA Degree preferred. \n3-5 years experience as a Planner / CAM Operator for reputed PCB Manufacturing Company.\nMust have a clear understanding of processes required to manufacture high-tech PCB’s.\nPrior experience with valor software, InCAM, ProCIM, Instack a plus.\nPrior experience of planning HDI, Flex, and Ridig Flex boards is a plus \nAbility to read and understand technical drawings and work instructions.\nProficient computer skills: Microsoft Excel/Word/Outlook and the ability to learn new skills and tasks as required, especially PCB software (Valor & ProCim).\nAbility to make mathematical calculations and utilize complex drawings. \nMust be flexible to work extended hours based on the needs of the department and company. \nAbility to perform at the highest level in a fast-paced environment.\nExcellent oral and written communication skills. Fluent in English\nExceptional multi-tasking, organizational skills, strong attention to detail and accuracy.\nStrong interpersonal skills and ability to work with all levels of management\nSelf-motivator and a sense of ownership and urgency.\nMust be able to maintain confidentiality & professionalism at all times.\nProficient in Microsoft Office using Excel, PowerPoint, and Word required.\nSALARY: $30 to $40 hourly\nSHIFT: 2 positions currently posted. 1 for Day shift, usually 9AM-6PM and 1 for Swing shift , usually 2:30PM- 11PM Both positions are onsite at our Sunnyvale location.\nMUST be a US Personnel\nPHYSICAL DEMANDS:\nThe physical demands described here represent those that an employee must meet to perform the essential functions of this job successfully.
