Sierra Circuit serves all industries including aerospace, defense, medical, automotive, and telecommunications, building PCBs to the highest industry standards, and keeping innovation at the forefront of everything we do.\nSUMMARY OF JOB FUNCTION:\nIn this hands-on position, the Quality Engineer is responsible for all Quality Compliance aspects of the assembly processes to ensure the highest levels of quality processes and products as indicated by industry standards and as directed by management.\nRESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:\n Oversee tests and monitor activities such as software configuration verification\nReview designs, changes, and plans of specifications and processes including Control Plans, Risk management document(s).· \nOversee tests and monitor activities such as software configuration verification\nTrack and review corrective and preventive actions\nCustomer interaction on Quality, complains and reliability including post shipment communications.\nCollaborate with team to identify and implement process improvements\nEnsure project and processes meet all requirements and reliability standards\nCreate, implement, and manage all in-house ISO quality procedures (ISO9001, ISO13485, AS9100, FA reports, TAR and Traceability requirements) for the assembly facility. \nResponsible for Internal, external and Customer audits and reports.\nTrain & certify Assembly QA Team to ensure the highest levels of quality products are produced. \nCreate and implement a Quality Assurance Program to include all procedures for error free assemblies.\nSetup guidelines and QA procedures to ensure only components which adhere to customer BOMs and AVLs are used on all assemblies. \nResponsible for timely Calibration, maintenance and Hazardous material reporting and management.\nCoordinate with Assembly and other internal departments to ensure quality compliance standards. \nMeet regularly with management to discuss short/long-term goals for the business unit.\nConduct monthly, quarterly and annual reviews for direct reports in a timely manner and provide performance counseling as necessary. \nResponsible for all reports requested by management and create new reports as needed.\nRespond to internal and external customers in a timely manner for the business unit. \nProfessionally represent the company to outside customers and business partners. \nWork extended hours based on company needs and be available for after hour emergency calls.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nQUALIFICATIONS:\nBS in Engineering, Electrical or Business Management or equivalent work experience.\nMinimum 5 years of experience as Quality Engineer of Electronic Assembly House.\n8-10 years experience in the Electronic industry.\nThorough understanding of IPC-A-610 and other relevant assembly standards is a must.\nPrior experience in creating and implementing ISO 9000.\nSolid business decision making abilities and excellent judgment.\nExcellent customer service skills and able to use tact and good judgment in contacts with customers and business partners. \nAbility to solve practical problems using pre-established guidelines to deal with situations where only limited standardization exists.\nStrong ability in using Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PPT etc.\nExcellent verbal/written communication skills and strong people management skills.\nAbility to work with people of diverse backgrounds.\nHighly organized and ability to work with minimum supervision while maintaining effective time management. \nMust be flexible to work extended hours based on company needs and be available for after hour emergency calls.\nAbility to perform at the highest level in a fast-paced environment.\nValid California Driver’s License.\nSalary: $85K - $95K Annually\nJob Type- Exempt\nPHYSICAL DEMANDS:\nThe physical demands described here represent those that an employee must meet to perform the essential functions of this job successfully.
