Reporting to the President, the role will support project tracking, municipal and development matters, documentation, research, transaction coordination, issue resolution, and other priority assignments, while also assisting the homebuilding division with selected projects and operational initiatives. The successful candidate will be expected to take ownership of assigned matters, coordinate the appropriate internal and external parties, maintain accountability for follow-up, and drive tasks through to completion with limited supervision.\nKey Responsibilities:\nLand Development & Project Coordination\nSupport the coordination of active and future land development and residential development projects.\nSupport projects through various stages of the development lifecycle, including due diligence, planning and approvals, design coordination, servicing, construction readiness and project closeout.\nMaintain project schedules and trackers, identifying key milestones, deliverables, outstanding items and required follow-up.\nCoordinate project information and requirements across internal teams and external consultants.\nAssist with reviewing development plans, engineering drawings, reports, studies, and other project documentation.\nSupport the coordination of site servicing, grading, utilities, roads, and other development-related activities.\nAttend project meetings and site visits, document key decisions and action items, and take ownership of assigned follow-up through completion.\nPlanning & Municipal Approvals\nAssist with the preparation, submission, and coordination of planning and development applications.\nSupport applications related to zoning, subdivision, site plan, minor variance, severance, and other applicable development approvals.\nResearch and review Official Plan policies, zoning requirements, planning regulations, and development standards.\nTrack applications through the municipal review and approval process, including comments, submissions, conditions, and key deadlines.\nDevelop a working understanding of applicable municipal planning frameworks, approval requirements and development processes across active project jurisdictions.\nAssist with coordinating responses to municipal comments and requirements.\nSupport the fulfillment and clearance of conditions of approval.\nAttend municipal and planning-related meetings as required.\nConsultant & Stakeholder Coordination\nCoordinate information and deliverables between planning consultants, engineers, surveyors, architects, municipalities, utilities, and other project stakeholders.\nSchedule and participate in consultant and internal project meetings.\nDocument decisions and action items and follow up with responsible parties on outstanding deliverables.\nMaintain effective communication with internal and external stakeholders throughout the development process.\nDevelopment Documentation & Project Controls\nMaintain organized and accurate development files, including applications, approvals, agreements, plans, reports, studies, correspondence, and other key project documentation.\nMaintain project trackers and dashboards identifying key milestones, deadlines, responsibilities, risks, outstanding items, and required follow-up.\nProvide concise and timely updates to management on project progress, approvals, outstanding matters, and items requiring decisions or escalation.\nPrepare correspondence, presentations, project summaries, action plans, and other development documentation as required.\nConduct research and analysis relating to active development projects, municipal requirements, government programs, grants, incentives, and other development-related initiatives as required.\nTake ownership of assigned special projects, including gathering information, coordinating the appropriate internal and external parties, tracking required actions, and driving matters through to completion.\nSupport transaction, closing, legal, and other project-related matters by coordinating documentation, timelines, costs, and outstanding requirements as assigned.\nCoordinate improvements to development filing systems, project tracking, reporting, and internal processes as required.\nAdhere to all company policies and procedures.\nPerform any other duties and special assignments that may be assigned, whether specifically or generally related to the role.\nRequired Knowledge and Experience:\nPost-secondary degree or diploma in Real Estate, Urban Planning, Urban Development, Business, Construction Management, Engineering Technology, or related discipline.\n3-6 years of relevant experience in real estate development, land development, residential development, project coordination, construction, planning, or a related environment.\nWorking knowledge of Ontario land development, municipal approval, and development processes.\nFamiliarity with Official Plans, zoning by-laws, development applications, and municipal planning processes.\nAbility to review and interpret planning documents, development plans, drawings, and technical information.\nStrong research, written communication, organizational, and project coordination skills.\nStrong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple files, priorities, and deadlines.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office applications; experience with planning-related software is considered an asset.\nValid Ontario driver's licence and ability to attend municipal meetings and project sites as required.\nWe’re excited to welcome new talent to Sierra Construction Group!\nThis opportunity offers an annual
