The successful applicant will work closely for an extended duration with more senior personnel to gain knowledge and skills applicable to their field while supporting the reactivation and operation of a world-class government-owned aerospace research and test facility.\nResponsibilities\nResponsibilities\nAssist in the fabrication, installation, modification, maintenance and repair of a wide variety of electrical systems such as:\nLow and medium voltage AC power systems\nDC power systems\nPLCs\nRaceway and Conduit Systems\nIllumination/lighting\nTransformers\nGenerators\nSwitchgear\nBreakers, switches, relays, starters, and field devices\nAssist in the performance of:\nReverse-Engineering of existing systems\nWire crimping and termination\nMotor maintenance\nInstrumentation:\nWork with devices such as valve limit switches, pressure transducers, valve control loops, vacuum and flow switches, proximity detectors, flame and combustible gas detectors, photocells, thermocouples, transducers, etc.\nAbility to learn how to test, diagnose, evaluate, and troubleshoot electrical and instrumentation systems when necessary using blue prints and testing equipment such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, meggars, oscilloscopes, etc.\nLearn how to prepare sketches and drawings using appropriate symbols of location and wiring and equipment.
