Armstrong Test Facility in Sandusky, Ohio is searching for a Mechanical Engineer to provide engineering support and leadership in the planning, design, and technical execution of projects and tasks for the Institutional Services.\nTFOME is dedicated to excellence in service and to providing outstanding technical opportunities for our employees. We specialize in providing engineering and technical services in the areas of aerospace propulsion and power test facilities. \nResponsibilities\nProvides technical expertise and guidance in the overall planning and execution of projects in assigned institutional areas, as well as planning, coordination and support of maintenance activities.\nProvides overall project management for an assigned project including developing detailed project plans and schedules with task lists, durations and assignment of resources.\nPerforms daily coordination and generation of work instructions to technical staff via task orders or other approved means and reporting to contractor and customer management.\nPrepares documentation supporting facility development efforts, specifications, and purchase requisitions for facility hardware.\nSupports large-and-small scale institutional projects including data analysis, writing specifications, creating standards and final report generation.\nQualifications\nMust have a Bachelor of Science Degree in engineering or equivalent and basic knowledge of drawing interpretation plus 5 years' experience in mechanical engineering.\nAbility to utilize GPS and GDIS mapping systems.
