As an Engineering Manager I - Software Development, you will be using your skills and expertise to oversee the engineering, deployment, and sustainment of cloud based and AI enabled cybersecurity platforms. While a Principal Architect owns overall platform design and architectural direction, this role ensures those designs are effectively translated into secure, scalable, and high quality implementations. The manager leads engineering execution, including infrastructure build out, CI/CD automation, container orchestration, code quality oversight, and operational excellence. This role also manages and develops a team of cybersecurity engineers and solution architects, driving consistent engineering standards, secure development practices, and continuous improvement. Through close partnership with architecture, operations, and security stakeholders, the manager ensures resilient cybersecurity capabilities that support mission critical needs across the organization.As SNC's corporate team, we provide the company and its business areas with strategic direction and business support spanning executive management, finance and accounting, operations, human resources, legal, IT, information security, facilities, marketing, and communications.Responsibilities:\nDesign, test, and implement secure operating systems, networks, and security monitoring tools.\nManage and tune IT security systems and applications.\nAudit and manage system and network access, maintaining an active directory of authorized users.\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure security integration in all IT projects.\nOversee the planning, implementation, and maintenance of cloud infrastructure for the cybersecurity monitoring and artificial intelligence platforms.\nConduct regular code reviews to ensure engineering best practices, maintain code quality, and uphold security standards across all development efforts.\nExecute onboarding support, training, mentorship, and career path/talent development activities for engineering discipline teams.\nLead, mentor, and manage a team of engineers and solution architects, fostering a high performance culture and driving alignment with organizational goals.\nProvide career path support, conduct performance evaluations, and facilitate conflict resolution\nQualifications You Must Have:\nBachelor's of Science degree in a related discipline.\nTypically, 6+ years of progressive engineering experience.\nHigher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.\nUnderstanding of engineering principles and practices.\nExperience with large-scale software development.\nExperience with automation and configuration management.\nExperience with software process automation with popular scripting languages.\nExperience developing code in at least one high-level programming language.\nUnderstanding of software development methodologies such as Agile/Scrum, Waterfall, and Spiral.\nThorough Understanding of engineering principles and practices.\nExperience with Computer Aided Engineering tools, analysis and simulation.\nAbility to work in multi-disciplinary design and development teams.\nExcellent communication and organizational skills.\nQualifications We Prefer:\nHands-on experience with cybersecurity tools like Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), Intrusion Detection System (IDS)/Intrusion Prevention System (IPS), and firewalls.\nExperience integrating cybersecurity solutions with AI/ML-based platforms.\nStrong leadership, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.\nProficiency in project management software and tools.\nExperience with Computer Aided Engineering tools, analysis and simulation.\nAbility to work in multi-disciplinary design and development teams.\nEssential Functions:\nProlonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.\nAbility to lift up to 20 pounds occasionally\nThis posting will be open for application for a minimum of 5 days and may be extended based on business needs.\nSNC offers annual incentive pay based upon performance that is commensurate with the level of the position.\nSNC offers a generous benefit package, including medical, dental, and vision plans, 401(k) with 150% match up to 6%, life insurance, 3 weeks paid time off, tuition reimbursement, and more.\nIMPORTANT NOTICE:\nThis position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret U.S. Security Clearance.
