IAS tailors solutions to customer cost, performance, and schedule requirements and designs to consistently exceed expectations - with an unrivaled record of on time and on (or under) budget deliveries.Responsibilities:\nLead and execute the design and development of electrical/electronic systems.\n\nIn some applications, lead and execute the development of circuit card assemblies.\n\nLead and provide technical guidance for implementation of electrical wiring design practices.\n\nConduct and oversee comprehensive testing and validation of electronic systems and components.\n\nPerform expert-level troubleshooting and debugging of electronic circuits.\n\nDevelop, document, and review high-level technical designs, test plans, and results.\n\nCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project success.\n\nLead design reviews and provide strategic technical insights.\n\nMentor and guide junior and mid-level engineers, promoting technical growth.\n\nContribute to strategic planning and continuous improvement of engineering processes.\n\nQualifications You Must Have:\nBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.\n\n10+ years of experience in electrical engineering or a related role.\n\nHigher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.\n\nExpert proficiency in electrical/electronic design and validation techniques.\n\nDemonstrated knowledge of engineering principles and practices.\n\nExperience with Computer Aided Engineering tools.\n\nProgressive experience working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams.\n\nExperience analyzing and interpreting electrical/electronic system federal rules and regulations, including Electrical Wiring Interconnection System (EWIS) requirements.\n\nUnderstanding of electrical/electronic Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and System Safety Assessment (SSA) concepts.\n\nQualifications We Prefer:\nMaster’s or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or related field.\n\nExtensive experience withComputer-Aided Design (CAD) software for electrical applications.\n\nExperience composing and evaluating an Electrical Load Analysis (ELA).\n\nExperience with circuit modeling, simulation, and analysis.\n\nKnowledge of industry-standard electrical design principles, to include, but not limited to model-based definition, electrical component selection, manufacturing, and production processes.\n\nFamiliarity with Electromagnetic Effects (EME) to include Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) and Electromagnetic Interference (EMI).\n\nFamiliarity with design requirements related to High Intensity Radiated Field (HIRF) and Indirect Effects of Lightning (IEL).\n\nExperience in digital or analog circuit design and schematic capture.\n\nUnderstanding of the printed circuit board layout process and tools.\n\nEssential Functions:\nAbility to work on a computer for extended periods.\n\nAbility to travel as required.\n\nAbility to work in an office or hybrid environment.\n\nPrecision in designing, testing and troubleshooting electrical/electronic systems and components.\n\nAbility to analyze complex electrical/electronic systems and evaluate performance data to identify problems and improve designs.\n\nApplying systematic and logical problem-solving techniques to diagnose and resolve electrical/electronic issues.\n\nClearly convey technical information, design specifications, and project updates to team members, stakeholders, and management.\n\nAbility to understand technical documents, electrical/electronic schematics, and electronic instrument measurements.\n\nAbility to handle small components, tools, and equipment with precision.\n\nThis posting will be open for application for a minimum of 5 days and may be extended based on business needs.\nEstimated Starting Salary Range: $124,771.42 - $171,560.71. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors, such as candidates' key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications.
