IAS tailors solutions to customer cost, performance, and schedule requirements and designs to consistently exceed expectations - with an unrivaled record of on time and on (or under) budget deliveries.Responsibilities:\nLead the design and analysis of advanced metallic and composite structures.\nOversee the development and execution of structural test plans.\nPerform detailed structural analysis and identify areas for improvement.\nMentor and guide junior engineers on structural engineering practices.\nEnsure all designs meet industry standards and regulatory requirements.\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate structural designs into overall systems.\nQualifications You Must Have:\nBachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.\n6+ years of experience in structural engineering or a related role.\nHigher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.\nAdvanced understanding of structural analysis and design principles.\nUnderstanding of engineering principles and practices.\nKnowledge of Computer Aided Engineering tools.\nAbility to work in multi-disciplinary design and development teams.\nExperience to Static and/or Dynamic Analyses.\nThe ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required\nQualifications We Prefer:\nMaster’s degree in a related field.\nProfessional Engineering (PE) license or equivalent certification.\nExperience in Engineering Simulation using Finite Element structural analysis (FEA) tools such as MSC Patran, Nastran, FEMAP, or ANSYS.\nExperience performing fatigue and damage tolerance analysis utilizing tools such as NASGRO or AFGROW.\nAbility to perform classical analysis using industry standard hand calculation methods.\nAbility to author substantiation reports.\nBackground in the Aerospace and Defense Industry.\nFamiliarity with FAA, NASA, and/or DoD design and construction regulations.\nEssential Functions:\nAbility to work on a computer for extended periods.\nOccasional travel may be required.\nAbility to work in an office or hybrid environment.\nApplying systematic and logical problem-solving techniques to develop structural designs and analysis.\nClearly convey technical information, design specifications, and project updates to team members, stakeholders, and management.\nAbility to understand technical documents, designs and test reports.\nThis posting will be open for application for a minimum of 5 days and may be extended based on business needs.\nSNC offers a generous benefit package, including medical, dental, and vision plans, 401(k) with 150% match up to 6%, life insurance, 3 weeks paid time off, tuition reimbursement, and more.\nIMPORTANT NOTICE:\nThis position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance.
