The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.\nKey Responsibilities:\nInventory Management\nDevelop and implement inventory management strategies to ensureoptimalinventory levels and minimize costs\n\nOverseeprocesses to meet project and mission requirements\n\nMonitorand analyze inventory performance metrics,identifyingareas for improvement\n\nDrive initiatives to reduce excess and obsolete inventory, improving overall inventory turnover\n\nDevelop andmaintaininventory management systems and tools to enhance accuracy and efficiency\n\nLogistics Operations:\nDesign and optimizelogisticsnetworks to support global operations and mission requirements\n\nDevelop transportation strategies for critical components, including specialized handling for sensitive aerospace materials\n\nOversee warehouse operations, ensuring efficient storage, handling, and distribution of materials\n\nImplement best practices inlogisticsto reduce lead times and transportation costs\n\nEstablishcontingency plans forlogisticsdisruptions tomaintainoperational continuity\n\nStrategic Leadership:\nLead and mentor the integrated inventory andlogisticsteams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement\n\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams including procurement, production, engineering, and quality assurance\n\nDevelop and execute supply chain risk management strategies specific to aerospace industry challenges\n\nDrive digital transformation initiatives across inventory andlogisticsoperations\n\nEstablish KPIs and performance measurement systems for the entire supply chain\n\nSupplier and Stakeholder Management:\nManage relationships with suppliers, carriers, and third-partylogisticsproviders\n\nNegotiate service level agreements to ensure quality andtimelydelivery\n\nPrepare and present comprehensive supply chain reports to senior management\n\nEnsure compliance with all regulatory requirements including export control and aerospace industry standards\n\nRepresent supply chain interests in cross-functional project planning and execution\n\nMinimum Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in supply chain management, industrial engineering,Logistics, Business Administration, or related field;Master'sdegree preferred\n\nMinimum of 10 years of experience in supply chain management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role spanning both inventory andlogisticsfunctions\n\nStrong knowledge of inventory management andlogisticsprinciples, practices, and tools\n\nProven experience in developing and implementing integrated supply chain strategies\n\nExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions\n\nStrong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop high-performing teams\n\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams\n\nProficiencyin inventory management software, transportation management systems, and ERP systems\n\nExperience in aerospace or industrial manufacturing is highly desirable\n\nAPICS certification (CPIM, CSCP) or CSCMP certification is a plus\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience with aerospace supply chain operations and familiarity with space industry requirements\n\nKnowledge ofDoD/government requirements fordefense product handling/experience managinggovernment property\n\nKnowledge of internationallogisticsand import/export regulations/ITAR management\n\nExperience managing complex, high-value inventory with specialized handling requirements\n\nBackground in implementing lean and/or Six Sigma methodologies in supply chain operations\n\nTrack record of successful supply chain transformation initiatives\n\nCompensation:\nPay Range:\n$155,851.00 - $214,315.00Your actual base compensation will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related knowledge and skills, education, experience, internal equity and market competitiveness.\nElevate Your Career\nAt Sierra Space, we are committed to your personal and professional development.
