This entry-level position is ideal for individuals with a basic understanding of electrical circuits and components, as well as electrical design tools and equipment. The successful candidate will work under the guidance and mentorship of more experienced engineers, gaining valuable hands-on experience in RF engineering. This role requires a willingness to learn, strong attention to detail, and the ability to follow instructions accurately. The RF Engineer I will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the development and testing of RF systems, ensuring they meet performance and reliability requirements.In this role, you will assist in the design and development of RF systems and components for space-based applications, supporting the testing and validation of RF systems, including antennas, transmitters, receivers, and RF amplifiers. You will utilize electrical design tools and equipment to perform basic design tasks and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success and integration. Following instructions and guidance from more experienced engineers, you will prepare and maintain technical documentation and reports to ensure traceability and compliance with project requirements. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.\nMinimum Qualifications:\nRequires Bachelor's degree in a related field (or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree).\nTypically entry-level 0 - 2+ years of experience.\nBasic understanding of electrical circuits and components.\nBasic understanding of electrical design tools and equipment.\nBasic understanding of electrical design tasks.\nAbility to learn, receive instruction and mentorship from more experienced engineers.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nFamiliarity with RF design and simulation tools such as ADS, HFSS, or CST.\nBasic knowledge of RF measurement equipment, including network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and signal generators.\nUnderstanding of RF system performance parameters such as gain, noise figure, and linearity.\nExperience with PCB design and layout tools such as Altium Designer or OrCAD.\nStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.\nExcellent communication and teamwork abilities.\nWillingness to learn and adapt to new challenges in RF engineering.\nCompensation:\nPay Range:\n$77,403.00 - $106,450.50Your actual base compensation will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related knowledge and skills, education, experience, internal equity and market competitiveness.\nElevate Your Career\nAt Sierra Space, we are committed to your personal and professional development.
