This entry-level position is ideal for individuals with a basic understanding of programming languages and software development principles who are eager to grow their skills in a collaborative environment. The role includes writing clean, maintainable code, collaborating with senior engineers, and staying current with industry trends.In this role, you will design, develop, and test software applications for space systems and technologies while writing clean, maintainable code that adheres to best practices and coding standards. You will collaborate with senior engineers to understand project requirements and complete assigned tasks efficiently. Utilizing version control systems such as Git, you will manage code changes and work collaboratively with team members. You will participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and compliance with development standards, troubleshoot and resolve software-related issues in a timely manner, and document software designs, configurations, processes, and procedures for future reference. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.\nMinimum Qualifications:\nRequires bachelor's degree in a related field (or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree).\nTypically, 0 - 2+ years of experience.\nBasic understanding of one or more programming languages and software development principles.\nAbility to write clean, maintainable code.\nFamiliarity with version control systems such as Git.\nAbility to work in a team environment.\nThe ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance is required.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nSome exposure to or coursework/project experience related to DevOps/DevSecOps practices.\nBasic proficiency in one or more scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash).\nFamiliarity with CI/CD pipeline concepts (e.g., GitHub Actions or GitLab CI).\nBasic familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker.\nFamiliarity with Linux environments. \nFoundational understanding of security and software development best practices.\nCoursework or project experience with C/C++ build tools is a plus (CMake, Conan).\nAbility to assist in identifying inefficiencies in development workflows under guidance.\nGood problem-solving skills and attention to detail.\nStrong communication and teamwork skills, with eagerness to learn from senior team members.\nBasic familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).\nExposure to orchestration tools like Kubernetes is a plus.\nBasic exposure to infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Ansible.\nExposure to logging and monitoring tools (ELK stack, Prometheus, Grafana).\nCompensation:\nPay Range:\n$83,999.00 - $115,498.25Your actual base compensation will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related knowledge and skills, education, experience, internal equity and market competitiveness.\nIMPORTANT NOTICE:\nThis position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance.
