The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.\nJob Responsibilities\nLead the design and development of highly complex electrical components and systems.\nAct as the technical lead for specialized projects, ensuring successful project execution and maintaining technical excellence throughout.\nModify and evaluate existing electrical systems and components to improve performance and efficiency.\nManage vendors and proactively address issues within the supply chain.\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure electrical designs meet project requirements and standards.\nConduct tests and simulations to validate the performance of electrical systems and components, and document design processes, test results, and modifications for future reference.\nProvide advanced technical support and troubleshooting assistance for electrical systems and components.\nStay updated with the latest advancements in electrical engineering and applying new knowledge to ongoing projects.\nOrganize team meetings and contribute to project planning and progress discussions.\nMentor and provide guidance to less experienced engineers and technicians.\nMinimum Requirements\nBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline and 8+ years of relevant experience. Or, a Master's degree with 6+ years of relevant experience.\nExperience serving as a Responsible Engineer (RE), driving hardware through its lifecycle, including development, qualification, integration & Test, Verification & Validation, and certification.\nAdvanced knowledge of electrical and avionic systems architectures and their design.\nReadiness to provide mentorship and guidance to less experienced engineers.\nAbility to work with minimal supervision on projects involving both small and large engineering teams.\nKnowledge of requirements management, functional requirements parsing, derivation, and allocation.\nKnowledge of systems integration, technical risk identification and management strategies, and Verification and Validation (V&V) principles.\nExperience performing trade studies to support subsystem architecture decisions.\nEligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance.\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\nProficiency in electrical design software such as Capital, AutoCAD Electrical, Altium Designer, or similar tools.\nExperience with 3D Harness Design\nExperience with simulation software like SPICE, MATLAB/Simulink, Hyperlynx or similar.\nSpecialized expertise in a particular area (e.g., power systems, control systems, EWIS, CD&H, etc).\nAbility to perform advanced circuit analysis and troubleshooting using tools like oscilloscopes, multimeters, and logic analyzers.\nAn active Top Secret with SCI eligibility U.S. Security Clearance\nCompensation:\nPay Range:\n$137,443.00 - $188,983.00Your actual base compensation will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related knowledge and skills, education, experience, internal equity and market competitiveness.\nIMPORTANT NOTICE:\nThis position requires the ability to obtain and maintain U.S. Security Clearance.
