The Residential Program Manager will design and manage all aspects of our residential facility operations in line with State and Joint Commission standards. Reporting directly to the Program Director, the Program Manager will provide leadership and oversight of day-to-day operations, develop and implement systems and procedures, manage the annual budget and expenditures, and ensure that all patients receive high-quality care. This role also involves facilitating weekly staff meetings, auditing documentation, and collaborating with families and other treatment facilities to ensure continuity of care.\nFounded in 2019, Sierra Meadows Behavioral Health has grown steadily across the Central Valley, driven by our commitment to meet the behavioral health needs of the community. We serve adults with moderate to severe mental illness, offering 12 mental health inpatient beds, six detox/substance use disorder inpatient beds, a Partial Hospitalization Program, and an Intensive Outpatient Program. By providing compassionate care, we restore hope, heal families, and strengthen the broader community.\nOur Values:\nHumility, Respect, Support, Authenticity, Transparency, Inclusivity, Collaboration\nEssential Functions:\nFollows and improves standards, policies, and procedures.\nParticipates in agency quality improvement activities.\nEnsures program and staff compliance with regulatory standards and community standards of care.\nEnsures coordination of services for families and multi-disciplinary team members for patients in treatment.\nAssists with the recruitment, training and qualifying of staff, contractors and others (practicum students, interns).\nBuilds strong collaborative relationships with patients and referral sources, and acts as a representative of Sierra Meadows Behavioral Health in the community.\nEvaluates Joint Commission standards of practice and ensures ongoing compliance.\nAssists clinical and non-clinical staff in providing crisis-intervention.\nOversees patients’ progress in treatment and ensures level of care is appropriate based on medical necessity.\nOversees insurance compliance (utilization review, medical necessity criteria, clinical programing requirements).\nConsults with the Admissions Department to ensure intakes are scheduled accordingly.\nDevelops weekly and monthly schedules for programming.\nProvides support on performance measurement and outcome evaluation.\nAttends and/or facilitates interdisciplinary staff meetings, case conferences, program team meetings, in-service, and other meetings when appropriate.\nRecords interventions and interactions with patients.\nAssists the family in working with the clinical staff toward treatment goals.\nConducts EMR reviews and ensures program maintains EMR compliance with HIPPA, ADA, Joint Commission and DHCS regulations.\nAll other duties as assigned.\nRequirements\nPrioritizes client care and maintains residential facility standards.\nExcellent multi-tasking & delegation skills.\nAbility to manage staff with respect to screening, assessment, individualized treatment planning, crisis intervention, group and individual counseling, case management, referral, discharge summaries, clinical documentation, and professional ethics.\nThrives at establishing and maintaining cooperative working relationships with direct reports, supervisors, utilization reviews, managed health care clinicians, and medical and mental health professionals.\nComputer Literacy in Microsoft, spreadsheet, and email. Proficiency in EMR Software.\nAbility to positively interact and develop rapport with clients and their families.\nSkilled at developing systems and methodologies for continuous improvement of program and treatment modalities.\nAbility to evaluate and review effectiveness of program, services, and group therapy.\nAbility to maintain culture of care that is conducive for maximum benefit of both clients and staff.\nUnderstanding of diverse cultures and gender specific issues and ability to incorporate needs of gender and culturally diverse groups into practice setting.\nQualifications:\nBachelor’s Degree required; Master’s Degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or related field preferred.\nMinimum of 3 years work experience in the field of mental health; residential experience a plus.\n2 years or more of supervisory experience required.\nMaintain valid CPR/First Aid certification.\nMaintain valid auto insurance and driving record of 3 or fewer points.\nIndividual must be willing to work with a wide variety of symptoms related to mental health, multi-cultural populations, and have an understanding for cultural diversity.\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
